Same reason I went with a PS4 at launch. Killzone,KNACK,Resogun and Driveclub(before the delay) looked more fun to me than the X1 exclusives.

I think people are taking the 2nd purchase thing the wrong way as he was speaking of the mindset of a lot of gamers to gravitate away from games to more "mature" titles and was speaking honestly that most gamers would pick up a shooter or something first and then Knack he wasn't saying it wasn't worth a first purchase.

I'm picking up the PS4 on launch but have to disagree with you on this one Microsoft hasn't been silent from things like Hyrb and Penello issuing statements to having an ask Xbox discussion answering questions on IGN for like eight weeks straight. Their message has been mixed and met with criticism but they haven't been silent for sure.
I'm going PS4 but Ghosts looks like trash it will sell well because of the COD name but no doubt Titanfall will be the better multiplayer game.
The show sold me on a PS3 a few times over last generation. Never regretted it. One of the most frustrating games especially slumping in RTTS but a true masterpiece in sports gaming.
Really I think the only AAA launch exclusives that look like they have any lasting appeal now since Driveclub was moved are Killzone,Resogun and Forza maybe KI. The rest look like they will get boring after 10 minutes of cheap thrills.
I think too many people are putting too much emphasis on launch games. I think X1 and Sony's launch lineup looks about the same neither looking super impressive but neither being awful either. Then I started thinking back and I could think of a couple decent launch exclusives but was having a hard time thinking of consoles with gobs of great exclusives at launch. This race is a long one so why does the media keep acting like it's won and lost at launch is beyond me.
I have nothing against the Xbox One console. I think all 3 major consoles will be fine but Microsoft really needs to clean house of there PR reps and get some new PR people in and make sure the PR people are informed of what's going on in the company because so far they have consistently had problems communicating to the public the messages of the company.
Both companies have done this kind of crap a lot leading up to this gen "oh we have very exciting news" and then some lame announcement follows. When you speak like that we expect something big like a revelation about the console that hadnt been known or news on an exclusive game. To disappoint us with this kind of crap is a big letdown.
Didnt they say the same thing about the 3Ds? All doom and gloom.A price drop and software started coming out and there killing in sales. I'm not saying it has that kind of turn around as the home console game is a little different but it could have respectable sales and memorable games when all is said and done.
I think the Dreamcast shows how system sales numbers don't always tell the whole story. Great system with some great games.
Yeah and while I agree Nintendo made some big mistakes with the Wii U I think they have the software coming that will never get the recognition it deserves like X because I think it's just the popular thing in the industry to rag on Nintendo right now.
Just picked up a used one on EBay myself after selling my launch one for 200 with 2 games. It's got quite a few games coming out more than enough to pass up that kind of price. I don't have a current system anymore so for me Pikmin 3,W101,Splinter Cell Blacklist,Arkham City Origins, Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 8, DK Tropical Freeze,SSB, X(looks sick), possible Lego City MH3 and a couple of old Wii games like Xenoblade and Last Story.
@Lalanana Yeah I wonder if they include the Fifa and Forza bundles as a Preorder for the game as well?
Yeah and the other 3 versions of Ghost in the top 5. I was more surprised to not see Fifa 14 for the X1.
I'm more amazed that 360 could stay that close to PS3 in worldwide sales with only the US and UK as its major selling grounds.
It's always going to come down to matter of opinion. Just like last gen both are going to have some great exclusives and it will come down to opinion of who had the best quality/quantity of exclusives.
