Yes. It's a maximizing profits scheme. Offer them the bare minimum and keep offering easy to make staple franchises. They know their base will buy anything and they will keep profiting even if they don't offer anything new.
Like I said before this thing launched one of the main things going against it is that it's exactly not future proofed. You wait one year to see the actual benefits of gaming on it. Then in 2 years more at best we are watching footage of PS5 that puts it to shame already. Roughly a 3 year window and one of those years it will use to find it's legs. It's a nice premium console. It's in no way future proofing though. You might as well just get a PS4 Pro cheaper and ride out the...
That's a little too fanboy for me. I love me some cheap prices.
Until next generation. Meanwhile if they don't even have the exclusive games you want? Kinda makes the point moot.
It's not future proofing to have absolutely no exclusive games you want to play.
That would be the perfect way to combat Xbox-X. Show PS4 Pro version of this game in all it's gorgeous glory run a little gameplay. Immediately everyone forgets anything shown at the Microsoft conference.
Trot out a hamster running on a wheel. That's all they need to do. I really wasn't that impressed with Xbox-X or the presentation. The two games I enjoyed are coming to PS4 and Pro. So my hype is already there for PS4 about the same with those games.
I think Xbox is done. Truthfully they didn't come strong enough. Scorpio could have been more. It's even hard for me to call it Xbox X because that just sounds dumb.
Overplayed yourself a little too much. Oh brother. Really Sony needs anything? To stay afloat? Lmao. Talk about delusional.
Even botched Crackdown a little. The console name was bland. The look is bland. No new design on the controller. Even a little scorpion symbol or Xbox-x symbol on the controller. They could have done a bunch more.
Me too. I almost got jealous a half second about Metro until I saw that. It's a shame. Xbox-X could have been a bunch more. They missed a great opportunity I feel like.
Another nitpick. How about keep the cool name? Instead of dumping it for the generic X. Put a damn scorpion on it and make the controllers feel exclusive by putting a scorpion on them too. Make it look and feel premium.
One triple A exclusive that shows off it's power. Something built for the console like Uncharted or Horizon Zero Dawn that shows the quality of extra horsepower. I mean yes Anthem looks great. So does Metro. Those are third party multiplatform games though.
Well I'll just lower my expectations on everything shown then. These guys can never be trusted at presentations.
I think it looks far more realistic and more going on in Drive club.
Still waiting to be wowed. It's Sony's day. Maybe today I will be?
So in other words don't trust the presentation? Gotcha. SMH.
I'm pretty sure more than a few fanboys did claim that beforehand.
Definitely downgraded. Didn't deliver on almost any of the promises for Crackdown. Destruction mode incoming but only online and only in a mode in a section of the game.
They'll have all new mistakes like not having any real launch exclusive that doesn't shows off the hardware in any meaningful way. They will launch a year later closer towards the back end of the generation. Which in turn leaves them open to being passed soon by another generation of consoles.
