Lmao. Priceless.

Care to explain your reasoning?

WHAT? Your logic makes no sense. Without consumerism driving the free market, the economy will only plunge further into a recession. If companies don't charge for their products or services, they can't afford to operate, which usually involves lay-offs and a higher unemployment rate.

Read your history books.

Ignore it. It's sensationalist journalism that thrives off fanboys' utter hatred of everything and anything that involves paying money for content after a game is released.

This mode could have come out a month later, and the same stuff would've been flying around everywhere. People don't like to think before they speak when they don't like something.

Maybe if you guys knew anything about code you would understand that 1.86MB is perfectly appropriate for the amount of stuff actually added. If you don't like the DLC, don't buy it. I agree that the "above and beyond the initial scope" quote was a bit lame, but Capcom did not withhold the content from launch OR create an unlock key for Versus mode.

Think about Microsoft's certification process, which takes a few weeks, as well as QA, which are both checks that basically...

You have no idea how small code actually is. Think about the patch as well. That might have added some code that allowed the small Versus mode to operate as intended.

There are no new maps, no new characters, no new songs (they're on the soundtrack, therefore on the disc), and no new enemies. The only things actually added are lines of code (which are so insanely small it's a wonder how much code there actually is) and a new lobby/intro screen.

If you don't think tha...

I'd challenge that. Fallout 3, while bigger, is not nearly as well-rendered as Liberty City. Not even remotely close.

I'm actually a big RPG fan. Oblivion is one of my favorite games of all time, easily.

Half the fun of Oblivion was finding that cool, unique part of the world that was hidden away from the rest of the game. It was this search and reward system that made Oblivion's presentation so much more effective than Fallout 3.

I've been hearing the DLC has been pretty buggy/lackluster. You're probably not missing out on much.

It's referring to CryEngine in general. CryEngine 3 is just the picture I used.

We can dream can't we?

I think the exciting point might be the probability of new footage of the game, rather than the announcement of the game itself.

In regards to the reports, the main topic of this story is if MW2 will be the subject of the "surprise" of GDC '09. I also messed up on the "game relation" thing. That was my fault.

Let's hope so! :)

Just out of curiosity, what gaming websites named Gears of War 2 their game of the year for 2008?

Oops! You got me on that one. Should've proofread that a bit. :)

God I remember Harvest Moon 64. That was the best Harvest Moon ever.

Good points everybody. Notice that I did mention that for Sonic, a move backwards to 2D would be welcomed by most fans of the franchise. For MK, I also said that a complete trip back to what made the games so competitive would be nice. The MK series needs a game like SFIV to trim the fat and bring back the pure essence of the gameplay that people fell in love with 10 years ago.

That's one of the points I touched on in my post.
