Actually universal; no one gave a rat's ass the PS3 had a Blu ray player that cost $1,000 dollars. There were no articles mentioning not to buy a 360 because it didn't have a Blu-ray player. All we got was articles about the lack of PS3 games. Now it has switched around and I haven't seen one article about the lack of Xb1 exclusives. All we have seen is article harping about the Pro missing a 4k Blu ray player.
Sony introduces a new console every 6 years or so, and they support it for about 9-10 years. The sixth year for the PS4 will be 2019. I think Sony will introduce the PS5 in 2018 and release it in 2019.

Just cause the teraflops are not close it doesn't mean the two shouldn't be compared. Jus like opiniated mentioned; the S is an extension of the one and the Pro is an extension of the PS4. The Scorpio is Microsoft's next gen console. I have no doubt in a year the Pro and "Scorpio" will be compared, and it will be because the PS4 will still be supported.

Daynnight, for that $299 you will get games at 720p with fps fluttering all over the place with minimal games to play. So ask yourself, do I want a gaming machine or a Blu-ray player?
