The driving is sort of a joke in Sleeping dogs compared to GTA IV. The cars actually felt like they had a suspension. BUT...Sleeping Dog's melee combat makes GTA's seem wonky and mediocre.
"consoles can do graphics just as good as PCs"
Surely, you can't be serious...
Eww...
Yeah, I read about this on GAF yesterday. Everyone on the forums had the same reaction..."EWW" I really don't know who designed that ugly step-child of the beautiful phat, but that is a pretty ugly looking console, imo. I mean, it's good they're saving cash and all by making it cheaper for the consumer but you'd think they could have come up with something a little easier on the eyes.
Thank GOD. I loved MGS4 except I thought the ending dragged on a little too long, imo. But that's just me, I suppose. I would've just rather had separate disks for the chapters rather than Snake tease me with his cigs for a few minutes, lol.
PUT THE LITTLE KID IN MULTIPLAYER. That is all.
Honestly, this looks sorta weak.
My mistake then. So it's Mistwalker then! Let them do it!
Outsource them to feelplus. I believe they developed Lost Odyssey. I'd be ok with that.
@PirateThom
Umm....Didn't Nintendo do that with the N64?
"A PC isn't a gaming platform..." Whaaa? I don't even...
She looks like a hood rat, honestly.
Sony has done their fair share too, dude...
Shivering Isles was HUGE and this is supposed to be as well. It's easily worth 20 bucks in fans eyes and it has enough content to be a standalone downloadable title. Just like Shivering Isles.
I agree. Just make the PC version worth playing and I'm on board.
The game was NOTHING like previous SOCOM games either. It was a corporate cash-in that got the little guys the loss of their jobs and the big guys a paycheck. It's almost infuriating to see these developers who are passionate about creating games get shafted by cash mongering yuppies.
This is pretty sad. I mean SONY IS a business but that doesn't mean they should have refused ideas from the original CD. All those guys thought about were numbers and short term gains. Big gaming companies/publishers don't care about creating something for fans that will last as a community. What does a community of hardcore tactical players do for your quarterly returns? Almost ALL publishers INCLUDING SONY are guilty of this on multiple occasions and it SUCKS.
I think overall it looks pretty good. The animations are hit and miss and the frame rate looks locked at 30 but other than that it looks fun.
And...
No
Watch the Meryl and Johnny cutscene again and tell me you're not in the least bit worried. Personally, I am going to be cautiously optimistic until I see it. Don't get me wrong, some of the writing and cutscenes were great but others were just gut wrenching to watch.
