I'll go wherever the majority of my friends go.. It's clear this next gen is even more about connected experiences then ever.
Freedom of Speech does not equal freedom from accountability for what you say.
Pretty much what you said.. even this gen Sony has had most of the other territories locked up and Microsoft has done very well for themselves by owning the U.S market.. Not sure I see it being any different this next gen as well.. yes, the core have spoken, and yes I am one of them and I will be buying a PS4. However, never underestimate the marketing machine that is Microsoft. Hell, today I went to go see Despicable Me 2 and know what I saw? They had a advertisement for the Xbox One, the...
@Apollo not trolling as I'm getting a PS4 first, but really curious.. which ones? And before you start I don't consider PC to be a part of multiplatform as I consider them to be console exclusives.
Ryse - exclusive,
Titanfall - exclusive atm "I hope that changes" Project Spark - Exclusive
Dead Rising 3 - Exclusive
Forza 5 - Exclusive
Sunset Overdrive - Exclusive
Quantum Break - Exclusive
Killer Instinct - E...
to further the point. If it was, then things like Kinect would of never sold as many units as it has and we wouldn't be having it shoved down our throats for the Xbox One.
CGI-Quality Not disagreeing with you there, but realize those pre-orders are from the hard core fans who watch things like E3 or come to these websites.. That is NOT representative of the "everyday" buyer.
MOST people, I'd bet, will not have any knowledge about Microsoft's bad press. Thus, not being any influence on their purchasing decision.
To be fair we don't really know about who has more games. Microsoft dumped a boatload of money into getting exclusives. Rumor being what 15 vs 20. Not a HUGE margin. I agree the platform sounds more open, numbers do not equal power until proven, just saying. I don't think Playstation+ will not be the same as it is now. I don't think we will be getting the same amount of content due to nobody wanting to give away NEW stuff for fee. That all being said, I am leaning more PS4 ...
Even though I am getting both a PS4 and an Xbox one I have a feeling that most people in the U.S at least will get the Xbox One when it releases due to familiarity with the brand they used most last gen, wanting to keep their achievement score and following where most of their friends go. I hope I'm wrong but other unforeseen factors will also play into this.. the 100 price and release date. Whomever comes out first will have a advantage.
and you can also pay 3 times the price.
Just goes to show you that people will always find something to hate on.
@Krosis cept for the fact that all this gen I've been a hard core 360 fan and only buying exclusives on PS3.
The cloud will not power anything.. it doesn't work that way. MGS5, COD, The Witcher 3 and Battlefield 4 will all be on PS4. I've been a 360 fanboy all this gen and I have consistent internet connection. However with Microsoft becoming so anti-consumer I have to vote with my wallet.
I'll never understand why a great game being multi-plat is a bad thing. A great game is a great game no matter where it's played.
Been an Xbox guy all this last gen and I'll be switching to a PS4. That being said, if you don't think Sony won't have something very similar minus the 24 hour check your cray cray.
I'm hearing good things about Rift F2P
Man, people are sure going to explode when we eventually go totally digital..
1. Agreed, I actually cut the cable
2. PS4 will probably follow the same approach as publishers put the squeeze on them.
3. See above
4. Irrelevant, PS4 prob does much the same thing.
5. Has potential
6. See above
7. See above
8. Doesn't mean you wouldn't now.
9. Don't know the size of the PS4.. it could be even bigger
10. In a few years you will need Doc Brown to take you back in time then.

Sure when good broadband becomes cheap, uncapped, consistent and available everywhere.
And the fact that live is a better system then PSN (ATM), generally cheaper sku's, multi-platform games still, for the most part, perform better on 360 and it came out first and established a strong base where friends wanted to play with other friends... you're correct.
