Just because it could detect that it's a ps3 disk doesn't mean it could play it.
There are many factors at play in order to get backwards compatibility to work.
Remember the original 60 GB? it was a ps2 and a ps3 not just a ps3 emulating ps2 games. Later they released the 80 GB unit that still had a ps2 synthesizer but was emulating most of the games, BUT STILL partially through ps2 hardware.

The 765m actually can trade blows with the 7850 (stock) but mine has been overclocked from 800 mhz to 1150 (which put it at around the 7870 (stock) but to be safe I'd say between 7850 and 7870, my cpu is 4700MQ (stock) and hdd is SSD.
It might be laptop related but I'ver seen people even witht he 770 or 670 GTX have problems with this game. Ofc they were doing 1080p.
I honestly do not mind their IPs, but I feel like this game has very inflated scores. I love it, I'm playing it a lot but I feel like it's all familiar and really felt more like a nostalgia blast from the past.
It really is a little disheartening how games that are repeated in cycles get such high scores but other games that try something new are critized for glitches or not being completely right.

I'm sorry not all of us can be at home 24/7 to play the games, but between work and school my home time is restricted to sleep. Having a laptop also helps me save on my electricity bills.

Battlefield I do 60 fps + maxed yet this gives me random drops.
I'm also using latest drivers. Everyone on net is complaining about this, you must have an excellent GPU or playing at low resolution.
Game needs to be optimized by dev again, Hope these drivers stop the 20's fps.

ATI's driver support has gone down horribly since the AMD merger.
I remember driver wise they were the most stable, although they still had very little updates, it was much more stable than Nvidia.
Don't confuse necessity with entertainment. Cars can be tools, not just entertainment.
The gaming industry is also much more inexpensive.
Your point is good but misguided, seeing as the industry would have to sell over 100 games to come close to a used car, and even more for a new one.
Used games do affect the industry since it's less money in the companies pocket, but the game industry has also been increasing the cost of gaming.
I dont think they need to stop, I just think they need to invest in more creativeness and dedication. They are playing it safe, and using very little resources on kinect games because they already invested so much in the tech, thinking they could even out.

Sounds like your not a gamer if you have such a narrow scope of games that give you an impulse to buy a console.
I buy based on potential, I never look at just he present, but the future. With the announced line up, I'd like to get use to ps4 now and know and be comfortable with all it's features so that when the game comes out I am already in my comfort zone.
