Most of the people who waited to buy a Ps4 is because they are waiting for a price drop. If they're not willing to spend $200-$299 for a PS4, what makes you think they are willing to spend $400-$500 for a PS5??
Its the best time to buy a PS4 is the next price drop or if you can get one for about $200. Many of Sony AAA games are also dropped in price. This mean that you can buy a console and get to experience many of the great games for cheap before the next console comes out.
This was one thing that I was really upset with the PS Vita. One of the drawing point of the vita was remote play. But the design of the vita was really crappy for remote play. PSVita would have been a lot more successful if The controls were easier to use for remote play PS4 games.

I understand the convenience and benefits of going all digital. But two problems persist with video games. 1. the sheer size of the games. 2. Internet bandwidth is another. As next gen approaches, game size will only get bigger and this is just the main game. Patches and DLCs will become larger and more frequent. Some are ready for all digital but I think majority are not willing to let physical go...yet.

Agree, it will happen but not this gen or next gen. Digital games hardly go on sale vs physical. Storage is now becoming a problem. 1 tb is nothing now because games will just get bigger and bigger. 2tb should be the standard now because games are getting huge patches and DLCs.

They will not sell many console at $200 let alone at $250. They may stand a chance if they sell it for $179 or even $149.
Remember this gen is about to end and MS don’t have a lot of compelling games this gen for people to even consider the Xbox. They probably end up looking at he PS4 or switch.
4tb all digital console, I would have considered it. Why the hell would I buy a 1tb all digital console and have a damn external HDD attached to it?
If they removed the disc drive, they should be able to fit a 4tb hard drive in that systems. I would have paid $250 for it.

The difference between MS and Sony. When this gen started, none of the systems had any backward compatibility. BC had to be implemented which means people have to do work to get it to work. I myself (and many others) rather MS focus on compelling games vs trying to get BC on the xbox one. Sony was focused on releasing good games (which they did) so the majority of PS4 owners didnt care for BC. But now the new Gen is about start, and Sony will have BC built in when the cons...
