Actually this situation with Destiny proves nothing, because when the games servers are back online again, it works... does it not? Sure, many feel like it would have been awesome if Destiny had an offline mode, but this doesn't mean always online "will never work"...... are some people REALLY compounding this situation into proof why always online is bad? Liar. Everything I've read pretty much painted the picture that the downs ONLY affected diablo 3 gamers, and it was due to the DDOS attack on BLIZZARD'S servers that did it...Blizzard relaying info back and forth to MS servers etc.. and your downtime IF you played diablo 3, was brief if at all.
Not a full day, and not twice within two weeks like PSN, one from DDos, and the other one was just random and stupid.

The issues for this game prove that sloppy development is just sloppy development.
It's also proof that a game that is on better hardware isn't always going to be BETTER all the time.
It's mostly up to the skill of the developers to take advantage of hardware, and then when they do a excellent/good job, THEN the power advantage for identical versions of a game comes into play.

I personally don't EVER see co-op as a bad thing. Especially if it's optional.
I think having options is always a good thing, I mean look at how a good game like Titanfall is stunted by it's lack of features and game types.
It had potential to be AMAZING, and it was simply PRETTY GOOD instead.
I never played the Co-op missions in Far Cry 3, (mostly because Nobody else was ever available to play with) but at least the option is there.

I personally feel like third party exclusives are just another benefit to helping strengthen a list of reasons for why you would buy a certain console.
Some people, (not early adopters) wait for about a year or so after the launch of new-gen hardware, and see a console that has some enticing 3rd party exclusives, then they are more likely to pick the console that has the most 1st and 3rd party exclusives that they like or are interested in.
It's not a satanic act ...
I think if the 1st and 3rd person stuff is done the right way the game could have a very strong Modern open-world vibe to it and would attract many to it for many reasons. It could be the biggest/best selling games of the year, IMO.
