I absolutely agree. Journey is one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've ever had.
Make every effort to check it out. But a suggestion... Give yourself some time. Play it when you can just be alone for a few hours. It is a legitimately moving experience.
Five reasons I don't care:
1) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
2) Call of Duty: Black Ops
3) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
4) Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
5) Call of Duty: Ghosts

One of the benefits of console gaming is that everyone has a level playing field because they're using the same technology.
Controller mods, aesthetics aside, has always seemed like cheating to me.

Xenoblade Chronicles is not only the best Wii game I've ever played, but might also be my favorite game of the entire console generation.
I can't tell enough people about this game. It's amazing.
It's pretty obvious why. The pay-wall keeps out (some of) the riff-raff. People paying a sub are invested in the game, not just socially, but financially as well. Money, and the risk of losing it, is a great motivating factor to keep people in line.
Every time an MMO comes out with s subscription model, people react like it wasn't completely standard faire until the F2P explosion about 3 years ago. And that the elephant in the MMORPG room, WoW, still uses this model quite successfully.
I'd still much rather support the Retail Game/Monthly Sub/Expansion model, rather than have the game sliced up a thousand ways and sold for a few bucks a piece.

Motioninjoy will allow you to use the DS3 on PC, not sure about the DS4 though. But yeah, I also wish there was official support through Sony. Though I prefer the Xbox controllers, I still would rather use a Playstation controller if I'm playing PS1-2 emulators.
Hopefully MS releases a driver soon, so you can get the firmware updates through PC. Thinking of grabbing a Titanfall Xbone controller to use on my PC (not for Titanfall obv).

This guy needs to listen to more than his own games, then, because the last 2-3 years have seen some of the best gaming soundtracks ever. Especially from the indie scene.
While I do consider Polygon to be legitimate gaming press (whether you appreciate their content or not), there is no question that the micro-blogging attitude of latching on to the latest hot topic, throwing it on the web and giving your immediate thoughts on it, seems to have pervaded the arena of journalism, whereas now we have people given every opportunity to conduct themselves professionally, who instead choose to channel the ambiguity of the internet.

Same. Really enjoy the change of pace from Titan to Pilot and back. And the maps are great.
All the dude is saying is that they are using an *actual* Monster girl for their model, which adds to the realism and immersion of the event, if, you know, you're in to watching motocross and familiar with that sort of thing.
It would be like having Brittney & Arriany as the ring girls in a UFC game, rather than some unrecognizable female models.

2013 was another great year for indie games!
I've played and agree with having most of the games on the list, but there are some notable omissions - in my opinion, of course.
"Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons" is a nice little adventure game with fairly simple puzzles, but great atmosphere and a lot of heart. It also boasts a unique control scheme, where each stick of the controller pilots one of the titular Two Sons.

The game crashes at the title screen if I enable crossfire. Single card runs fine though.
