The UK is, and likely always will be, a Playstation market. Hopefully the Switch will make some gains though!
I mean...if you say so.
This is a very high profile L to take.
At this rate, Playstation VR is poised to be the next Move/Eyetoy; another gimmick with potential that Sony can't muster the stones to fully support.
I'll say this, I wouldn't gauge the Xbox One owners' desire for JRPGs based on the sales of KH3. Same thing happened to Wii U owners last gen with Mass Effect 3
Nah man, HBH is dope, I'm convinced people just didn't learn how to play it. Like, did they not get that you can pause as much as you want or something? It's basically just strategic counting.
Titanfall + Splatoon
Most innovative shooters past 5 years, easy.
Surprised to see Ultra Street Fighter II on the list, but I'm not clicking through some multipage article to figure out why lol. Good on you for posting this!
Okay, I'll recommend this book to you both:
"Shigeru Miyamoto: Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda (Influential Video Game Designers)", Jennifer DeWinter
It goes into great detail about Nintendo's design philosophy with respect to consoles, beginning with Hiroshi Yamauchi. From their days manufacturing arcade cabinets, that has *always* been their MO.
The gap between consoles may have grown and shrunk ...
Nintendo's business model has literally never been about using the most advanced tech though. It's always been getting the most out of older hardware to sell for cheap.
If you don't KNOW this is true, you didn't have a PS4 or Xbox One at launch. There was just nothing good to play those first 6 months aside from Killer Instinct on the Xbox.
Meanwhile, the Switch launches with what's very likely the GOTY- when has that happened? Plus a steady stream of high-quality, high replay value AAA and indie titles? I'm sorry, that just wasn't the case for Xbox One and PS4.
What's the optimal level of power for something like this, then? Did they want a portable Xbox One?
In fact, most of the complaints from people against the Switch come down to "Well why didn't they just make a PS4?" PS4 exists, Xbox One exists, product differentiation is smart for companies and good for consumers.
Yeah, priced at $40 they really made a killing here I'm sure. They're selling SFII on other platforms for like $10 right? Little bit of extra work to push nearly 100k first week is nothing to sneeze at.
I'M not getting it until it drops considerably, but I can't see them unhappy with this.
I mean, BoxBoxBoy though...but I guess that was last year?
Lol. Nah. Shit's fun yo, and there's more coming at the end of the year.
Hands down among the best designed games of all time, but we'll probably need a few years before we can say whether it's *the* best
Most positive thread on N4G, love this. At the end of the day, we're all gamers
They laugh when nobody wants your system, they laugh when everyone wants your system. Nothing to be done
Yeah! Go ARMS!
Think they wanted to go with "unsuspected" here...the titles themselves won't be surprised, I don't think
