You said the word DESPERATE...Now M$ is desperately need a price drop to compete with Sony. With the price drop Sony sell is only going up not down. I don't think xbox 3 years warranty will help their sell that much.

IMO, I think M$ is slow acting up on this issue, til the news about 30% of 360 failed surfaced on the web. They should have started @ 10% instead waiting for 30%...10% that is 1 million users are having problem with the console... I am pretty sure they are collecting your information for when you sent it in.

I think I heard reports long time ago Namco and Sony used the same PS3 architecture for the arcade...so the graphic should be almost exact when it comes out for PS3...
no business is getting in to business to loose money, even a drop from a bucket. Bill Gates is no longer the richest man anymore. Windows Vista is not selling well. Xbox is doing okay, but I think the hardware problem really set them back.
Sony is bidding on the long term for PS3, even though they lost like $200+ for each system. They will make over 1K from you when you bought the system. You are buying games and blu-ray movies.
