In terms of resolution you wont notice much of a difference after 4k, and power wise we are basically at a plateau until we get quantum computing chips.
I like my X, and it will certainly be my go
to for 3rd party games here on out. That being said, its lacking any compelling exclusives, MS 1st party has been abysmal this gen.
