Regarding Heavy Rain - I've played Fahrenheit (Indg.Proph.) and I'm not sure it has the gameplay needed to validate for a GOTY-title.. I hope I'm proven wrong!

I hope they haven't scrapped everything they've worked on up until GTA4.
The physics engine for example; it had some hicups, like when walking up to vehicles - but overall it enhanced the experience..

Good luck shifting 4 million copies total. This is the first FF game since "VII" that I won't be buying. 60 $ for FFXII was a waste of money..

I agree that this game doesn't belong on shop shelves. But let me ask you this..
What harm does this game really pose? Who gets hurt from this? Acts of rape and violence has happened for thousands of years - will this game change anything?
Now, when an adolescent male makes the mistake of raping a girl versus playing this game, what difference is there? Consequence. The ability to reflect upon that action.

I found this battle quite easy, (unlike some of the Weapon battles =P) and also very satisfying!
This game is the only Final Fantasy games actually needs a remake, because the pixalated graphics look horrendous in this day and age, unlike FF7. The game's art and visual presentation is PERFECT for a remake later this generation. And an alternative battle system would absolutely be beneficial.

The characters, the music, the combat. None of these trigger my interest for this game. This looks just TOO generic. It sums up nearly everything I'm feed up about with JRPs.
1 - Multiplatform titles
2 - Advertising
3 - Shooters
4 - Casual gamers
5 - Lack of X factor
A minoraty of console owners buy more than thr33 games a year. Guess which ones? Yepp! Multiplatform games, aka the best advertised ones. Which brings us to number two..
