Leave the controller the way it is. Why would i want to plug the contoller in while playing to recharge the battery? Screw that! I have two batterys that i swap whenever one dies. They take an hour to fully charge. NO WIRES at anytime! The gel handles would be useless. Forget that. I agree with changing the d-pad even though i never use it.
