This doesn’t need to be an actual merge. Battle net can run off the same servers it’s using now. I’m simply stating from a financial standpoint it’s obvious the two services will merge together from a financial standpoint, giving game pass the number of active users it needs to “look” profitable. Has nothing to do with a physical merger.
This has nothing to do with a specific game, it’s 2 Microsoft services that will be merged under one name. According to Activision battle net had 368 million active users as of March 31st. There’s no way Microsoft will NOT merge these services together even if in name so they can be reported under the gamepass umbrella, so yes Gamepass will have close to 400 million active users once they purchase AB.
Just an Fyi for anyone thinking Xbox is going anywhere. It will hit 400 million subscribers once it buys blizzard. Battle net will merge into Xbox game pass.
I love how it says this is going to happen like it or not as if the people don’t control Xbox’s fate with their wallets.
Let’s say game pass is the only game in town. What’s the model for a Dec shop to make money? No matter what they’re going to want have their game on game pass because no one‘s buying games anymore. There’s no incentive for Microsoft to pay them to put the game on game pass. If anything, at this point they are paying Microsoft to put their game on game pass. So what’s the model for gaming not to come to a complete halt? How would a game company make its money?
Then there wouldn’t be a leaked document saying Xbox goes bye bye in 3 years unless they can turn things around.
Twice?????? 😂😂😂
These arent sales though sir or ma’am. This is anyone who clicked on the game in game pass, borrowed the game from a friend, hell I don’t know if their counting viewers of streams as players.
Finally a sound argument.
Correction
Crackdown 3 (cloud powa!!)
Halo infinite (were so proud of that gamplay clip until it was annihilated by the public, tried to play Craig off as if we’re laughing with them not at them)
Starfield (Xbox’s game of the generation. Only acceptable due to it being 3rd party but full of repeating assets clip art planets and jank)
I agreed with everything except not having a foothold in a consumer market. Windows dominates the consumer and business OS markets.
Microsoft office has 0.005% competition for office tools and home/business productivity.
It’s arrogance. Same people said Xbox would have a 30% advantage over ps5 hardware because 12 >10. Straight up morons..
Once again, is there a public outlet that can provide these numbers objectively? Microsoft and Bethesda can make up anything.
Microsoft will NEVER exit the gaming business lmfao!!! Ok they spend 100 billion on 2 publishers just to exit because of a failing product? They’ll just come up with something else. As long as they have cloud business (which is never going away) they’ll be in video games. They’ll continue to release physical Xbox’s for as long as there’s a Sony PlayStation. I hate them too but I can’t go full delusional!!!
Not even, most 3rd party games go to PS5.
Forget the S I’m not convinced the X is more powerful. On paper they both have pros and cons, in reality the PS5 out performs the X in every game and we’re going on 3 years now. Starfield is the Xbox game of their generation. That shows what the X is capable of ACCORDING TO MICROSOFT. Compare it to PS5 first party games and it’s a wash.
25 years in this case
2 days turns to 3 turns to 4 etc. Learn to read between the lines.
The game is mediocre and they knew it from the beginning. Their actions of handing out codes only to xbox YouTube fanboys and pro Xbox reviewers ignoring large, credible reviewers is proof of this. Attempting to manipulate the meta critic score prior to the game coming out is sleazy. The game deserves what it gets due to the typical Microsoft lying tactics and Bethesda going right along with them.
Maybe so but it will be enough for investors to feel like growing via acquisitions is successful. It’s grow by any means necessary. This whole 30 million organic nonsense is only fan warfare.
