I do find it funny how PlayStation fan boys call him a liar, but are hanging there hat on the fact that he said Xbox is over if game pass doesn’t “xyz…” there will always be an Xbox lingering out there to compete with PlayStation. It makes financial sense to make a box even if it’s in name only. They would never want PlayStation to be by itself on shelves during holidays.

It doesn’t matter how they track it that’s the point. It has nothing to do with Xbox. To even think PS5 needs the portal to boost PS5 count is idiotic. PlayStation owns Xbox there is no competition. This is why I say it lives rent free at the home of Xbox because it always comes back to “what is PlayStation doing?”

Games are the incentive. Maybe not to leave but to buy both. If they had good exclusives that I wanted to play I'd buy a system. It's as simple as that.

Na for real they should’ve used a proprietary protocol to connect the devices at short range. This product has been on the roadmap prior to ps5 launch no reason connectivity should ever be an issue within a certain range.
