Of course it can, it's not like people don't want a ps3, they just don't want to pay for it at that price with no games. In a few months the most important problem will be gone which is the lack of games. Then the price cut will come, then more games and everything going to be normal. It could be possible that Sony might announce price cut at E3 but I think Sony's going to wait and see how they do when the games come out.

Sony likes to dream big, you can't get mad at them for that. Have y'all heard the saying Shoot for the moon, if you miss you'll land amongst the stars, there's no 120 fps @ 1080p but 60fps at 1080 is d@mn good enough. You can't expect every title to hit that mark but 9 titles at 60 fps on a console that's been out for 7 months, I think the list is only going to get bigger.
I'll probably get it on the ps3, depending on what the content is. I do think Rockstar will take advantage of Blu-Ray and Harddrive giving the ps3 faster load times. The 360 will get its exclusie episodic content but I think the ps3 will have it's extra features. It really boils down to what the content is, if it's maybe online mode then I would have to jump to the 360 but if it's like extra cut scenes a few costumes then I won't care so much about that. One of HD-DVD's exclusive backer doesn't even think it will last five years, some support that is.
Sony all ready showed a demo for killzone behind closed doors and all the people that saw it agreed that the game wasn't identical to the trailer but they said the demo did look good though.

Pretty detailed characters, enviroments and explosions. The AI and physics has to be realistic. I think with the budget they got, they can do it... I hope.

The 360 version looks better but I think we all would agree that these ports are getting more identical. I think these developers are getting better with the ps3 hardware.

If the game doesn't look like the trailer that doesn't mean it's going to suck. They already showed a tech demo for kilzone behind closed doors and they said it didn't look like the E3 05 trailer but it still looked good. It can't be Lair because they said it was up and running, so it has to be a game that we never seen running or never seen running on the ps3.
Who said it was Sony making this announcement, it could be a third party developer. If it is a first party game then I think the date was mistaken for july 11 instead of june 11. Sony did say they had a few more surprises but I don't think they would release any big news on a game so close to E3.

If you would of bought a ps2 at launch you might of said the same thing, not knowing that the ps2 would stick by your side for a long time. I'm still getting my moneys' worth for my ps2 right now.
