I am one of the people don't really care to much, I just don't understand how some games require it and games like Uncharted doesn't and loads completely fine.
I think games like Mgs4 and Gta4 will probably require a install but most games won't. If it makes the gameplay significantly better than I'm definitely all for it.
I think no one cares for the game it's just 50 players online is the big news here. I think both consoles is capable of having many players online when there are dedicated servers.
I think it was the first comment about resistance that got people all hyped up.
Are you serious, people have been kicking dirt at Sony and the ps3 for a whole F@#&ing year. Haters and everybody doubting the ps3, everyone was so sure the Sony will continue getting it's @s$ kicked. Now the table has turn and the ps3 is whooping @s& with the highest price and the least amount of games for any console.
The big games haven't even come out yet, Blu Ray hasn't even offcially won, Rumble nor Home is even here yet.

If the guy wants to get his ps3 for a Blu Ray player than let him I guarantee he will start to warm up to the ps3.
360 getting shortages? Was it too many 360's shipped to japan. I really find it hard to believe they've had shortages.
They said they wont be at GDC but they will update thier website around the same time. Graphics look good but we have to see what the gameplay is like.
The ps3 has been building alot of momentum but they still have to work hard in America. I think rumble, Home, Mgs4 and Gta4 should help the ps3.

I think Home will start out slow but grow into something alot more with alot of possibilities.

Just because the ps3 updates, doesn't mean that it's not finished, if that's the case the ps3 will never be finished because there will always be updates. The ps3 will always be evolving, I really don't understand how you think adding features is annoying. Do you mean to tell me that once Sony adds in game xmb, you would want them to stop coming out with firmware updates?
Yea but we are talking about a 3d world, when it really started to kick off.
I always said gta will sell more on the 360 but push more harware on the ps3.
The commercial looks pretty cool but this is not my type of game.
People don't think about it in the long run.
I installed games before but it's no big deal I mean you seriously can't find something important to do while you wait. Take a piss, get a cup of water, tell someone in your family you love them or come on n4g and tell everyone your waiting for your game to install.
I think airing that commercial would have cost them a lot of money they don't want to waste.
I think looking at all the features in the ps3 like Blu Ray, I think it's a safe bet to say the ps3 seems like the console to last the longest, while still keeping things fresh with fimware updates. Plus if you look at how the ps2 is selling you can't help but to think the ps3 will be in it for the long haul.
You can't even compare Mgs and gears, I think the two you need to compare is Resistance and gears. Gow is a great shooter complimented with with some very pretty graphics but there were major glitches in the game. Cod4 is better than Gears and it feels wierd to say but I enjoyed Cod4 more than Halo.
Update: I actually think Killzone and Gears would be a even better comparison becuase both seem more slow paced. all though Killzone is yet to prove itself, after seeing the game f...
