I agree Sarcasm, MS will do everything they can too slow down the PS3. You see how quick they dropped the price of the Elite.
Well anyways, the PS3 creamed the competition in Japan and they still have games like GT5, FF13 and FFVS TO push more hardware. Great numbers for Sony!

So basically the ps3 slim start up is slower but loads games faster. How in the world does that make it slower? Wow Sony can't catch a break, the ps3 slim loads games faster but yet people say it's slower.

Yea the price cut went into effect today on Amazon but it's pretty hard to tell because there are so many skus for the 360 plus the slim is at number 1, It could be barely hitting #1 or a high #1.
Well the thing is, this is the first time the ps3 is at 299.99. The 360 has already been at this price so it's not that much of a big deal, plus it's a slim ps3.
Yea I agree, I think they showed like half the cut scenes for mgs. If they start getting too much for Uncharted I might have to look away myself.

It's not a feature that's worth 50 dollars but as a gamer who has actual friends that owns both consoles, Cross chat really is convenient. There were times when I was trying to join games with a few friends and thought it would be less of a hassle if we had cross chat.
Cross in game chat is a nice feature to have because you can talk to your friends while you play another game. Instead of having to keep pausing the game to send a message. Your not going to use it all the time but cross chat is a nice feature to have.

I still think this update is great with the "Status Indicator" and "What’s New" feature the xmb will feel more "live" like IMO.

The first time my 360 broke was 2 weeks before Halo 3 came out, I was pissed and worried. The second time it broke which was the same month but a year later, I almost didn't care much. I think it depends on when your 360 breaks, plus knowing that you have a live subscription plays a big part in why people keep coming back.
That's good, and it's mostly from internet buzz, I think the word of mouth will catch on soon. Next up, Sony is going to have to advertise like crazy because I have a feeling MS is going to pull out the works with their advertisement. All your going to hear is xbox 360 for 199.99. I want to see some "Ladies and Gentlemen" type ads from Sony.
The reason why there is so much hate towards Modern Warfare 2 is because it's very popular and it's not exlusive to the ps3. When something becomes the top dog, people want to see it go down, It's like that with everything. COD 4 is one of the best games I've played this generation. If you don't like it that's ok but alot of people are going to buy it becuase it will be one of the top shooters this year weather it's ps3 exclusive or not.
The elite was never competition for the ps3, it was the pro model being 100 dollars cheaper and the arcade sku. The only problem the ps3 slim may face is the arcade sku being so cheap. I think this Holiday season the ps3 is the console to get.
