What a dumb article.
They took a highly regarded game, messed with the core story, vastly changed the core gameplay, and added a ton of filler.
I imagine their goal was to attract a new generation of fans to FF7, but that meant selling to an audience that didn't necessarily exist. And in the process they alienated a significant number of people who loved the original. Not a terribly wise idea.

There will never be a day 1 on PS release on PC. And the only reason people are saying this is to discourage potential PS sales by spreading the same lie. That's the usual strategy around here for the Spencerbots: Cling to anything you can to try and bring down the one force Microsoft will never beat.
