Three franchises i always wanted on PlayStation: GeOW, Halo and Viva Pinata.
Two of those three will, unfortunately, NEVER happen, but that still leaves gears

I have no idea if this rumor is true or not, but i can say that i own every gears and although i felt the franchise getting a little stale I would still continue to support Epic if they brought it to ps4

complaining about framerate drops from 60 down to 50 is ridiculous.

apart from possibly a slight drop in texture clarity or perhaps some screen tearing, the naked eye cannot perceive the difference in framerates at those numbers.

only when fps's drop below 20 into the mid teens will it truly be noticable, and ONLY if its consistent over a period of time. thats what produces stuttering and lag.

think about the term, Frames per "SECOND...

Exactly.
Speaking as a long time TakeTwo stockholder id be extremely surprised and quite upset if they DIDNT bring gta5/online to next gen and pc.
Hundreds of millions of dollars in gross revenue is waiting for us there.

To everyone else: come on people, exercise a little common sense.

/agree (this coming from someone whos had multiple mmorpg subs over the years)
But i think SOE finally solved THAT problem with Everquest2.

Ok, so its F2P, which is great. All classes/races/zones unlocked (barring recent expansions)
You can then upgrade your account to Silver for a ONE-TIME fee of $5 (very reasonable). This gives you more access to features, but of course the best/most useful are still locked out.
They still have the Gold sub at $15/mo...

They must have seen this coming.
EVERY mmorpg since the beginning has been the same.

I remember the early days of EQ before there was the Bazaar. People use to gather in this one zone (the name escapes me) to trade in-game items, gold and even characters for in-game currency and/or RL money. Of course you can see the problem with this right away, people were being ripped off.

For EQ2 the Sony Station was brought online, which legitimized these transac...

Its timed exclusive only.
After all, Capcom DIDNT SELL the Dead Rising franchise to Microsoft.

Uncharted, Resistance and Assassins Creed also.
They showcase what the Vita is capable of and are perfect examples of AAA gaming on a handheld device.

Nostalgia compels me to say my NES. It was the first console to perfectly recreate the arcade experience with Super Mario Bros.
Honorable mention to N64 /Super Mario 64 for ushering in the era of 3D environments, without which gaming wouldnt be what it is today.

However, my favorite launch "title" of all time is Condemned: Criminal Origins, which launched along side the 360. It truly felt next-gen (by leaps and bounds.) Its an amazing experience that still h...

Could have something to do with local laws and policies since it is a privacy concern.
Isnt Germany giving Micro a similar hard time as well?

Thats a marketing decision and has nothing to do with either hardware design or production.

Id like to see another Pinata game.

You only have to look at GTA Online for your answer.
Its too ambitious and theyre planning so much support for its future. Do you really think theyre going to go to all that trouble for a last gen system; a system that will become obsolete a year from now? They plan on adding to the experience for YEARS to come.

OF COURSE theres a PS4/XB1 version

Heh! Nice analogy. And you make some good points.

Also, i think GS is in a tough situation right now.
Anyone who has half a brain and has been gaming long enough would have realized about 6 or 7 years ago that the industry is slowly trending towards digital distribution. That includes the analysts at GS. They know this is going to be an extremely difficult transition for them (if not impossible thanks to DRM.) So now its a money grab; to try to get as much as they ca...

Your question should answer itself.
Yes, theres the money being paid.
But, i think the bigger reason, and also the reason why so many developers/publishers are giving their support to XB1 this early is...

*DRM*

The people involved in making games have been crying for it for years. Micro was/is making it happen. Its not that hard to understand.

Day 1 for me, as have been EVERY game from the start.

I have no problem with an annual release of Assassins Creed (i look forward to each new iteration.) Every installment brings major innovation, keeping it fresh.

To be honest, i sometimes wonder how long Ubi can keep this up.

Close the rest?
NO! Don't close the rest!
If all gamestops close where are we going to buy our games?
Big retail only ever have the latest/best selling games (or games that havent sold through yet)
Online retail; gotta wait for your purchase.
Digital? Theres issues with forced DRM and a lack of a physical copy.

We need gaming specific stores!
We need some place to shop that specializes in gaming, and NOTHING ELSE!
