It's VERY possible that the initial version of the game wasn't using the kraken+oodle texture compression combo. PS5 only supported kraken at launch, the oodle texture support came later, https://cbloomrants.blogspo...
" If you own a PS5, you will need 60 GB of space to install the game. This is larger than the 50 GB that was suggested for the original release, but the install size ended up at 35 GB. This doesn’t take into account the 12 GB of updates that were released after the launch of the game."
Which franchise is Tom "Clany" ???
A Plague Tale: Innocence is the game being talked about...
it’s a staggering 29GB on PS5, and over 15.5GB on PS4!
This.... 8 months and no new about the storage expansion support
if you mean selling more ps5s to scalpers then you're right
interesting, while the game is quite fun (reminds me of vanquish a lot) imagine how much more fun the game would be if they added a save option.i got the act 2 ending a few days ago and isn't bothered about act 3 (no new biomes or anything).
well they could easily "lock in" the level that loaded in the run.. that way even if you keep re-loading the same save file you're stuck with that.. obviously there shouldn't be save slots.. just 1 save slot and that's it.
In my opinion they should make it an option if you want to save or not and reward those (maybe a trophy) that choose not to use the save option.
lost soul aside update?
pvp will just get ruined by cheaters
LOL at the author of this article..expecting top tier loot in a looter shooter demo where chances of getting legendary items have been capped to 25%.
This, I believe ps5s won't become readily available till jan 2022 at the earliest unless and until either;
1. Retailers actually start selling physically in stores (highly unlikely as they don't want to be accused of causing spikes in covid cases).
OR
2. Sony enhances ps5 sales on its own site (where it can force extra measures to deter scalpers/bots).
"Even if you do patch the loopholes to online there are ways around it like waiting in line at one store and have a buddy or a couple of friends wait in line at other store that limit the sale to 1 per customer."
But the fact that you can't line up because of covid means the scalpers too can't. Using online bots for scalping is FAR easier than standing in line.
Sadly retailers don't "gain" anything financially by doing all of the above. If anything, they see all this as "expenses" they don't need to implement since currently without all of the points above, they're still making money. Unless and until Sony and MS decide to "reward" retailers who implement anti-scalping measures by giving them more (units, stock priority e.t.c), retailers will NEVER implement any of the above.
- Modification of the Agreement Process
These are the patch notes that are accessible on the PS4. The update has been reported to be just under 500 MB. It will be available to download on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Just don’t expect to find any new content or a patch to upgrade the game for the PS5. There is no such change included in this update.
This is gonna be bad for those that are yet to get a ps5, 'cos for sure sony's just gonna focus ALL their attention to u.s and china markets now, everywhere else be damned.
D.O.A
yup sadly https://www.gamesradar.com/...
@Orchard sony did not license both techs in june last year. That is false, oodle texture only came out in june and sony licensed later, it's clearly stated by the creators of the tech on the link i pasted. Mark cerny's ps5 presentation only mentioned kraken which allowed up to 8-9GB/s uncompressed data output. Oodle expands on this and allows up to double the ratio, if sony had licensed oodle as you claim then why didn't Cerny mention it during his presentation? Again from the lin...
