I've never heard that before. I've always heard that the split was around 55/44. I looked around and I could only find the sales breakdown for the opening week and they were: 360 6.21 mil and PS3 4.61 mil. I'm pretty sure that would be the sales trend throughout the games lifetime.
But please, If you have the numbers showing that the PS3 only accounts for 1/3 of Black Ops sales go right ahead.
I doubt that it will be next x-box exclusive, I'm thinking DLC exclusive (timed). Activision know how much money they make from COD. I find it hard to believe that Activision is willing alienate 1/2 of their possible audience... unless MS paid a lot a lot of money, I'm talking hundreds and hundreds of millions possibly even a billion?

you do realize how much 6 billion per quarter is, right? that would mean their yearly profit is 24 billion... their currently only worth 66 billion (give or take a few billion). Even when MS was at their hottest I don't think they were bringing in a profit of 6 billion per quarter.

Actually what Sony is doing is restructuring. They've basically looked at themselves and realized their very inefficient and wasting money in areas they don't have to.
Kaz came in and is basically re-focusing the company as a whole. Sure you can take that and run with it and call it a negative now, but lets save the judgement for when/If this plan doesn't work.
Let them be happy for Sony posting a much high "profit" than they first thou...

quick question guys... why do PC guys like to tote going over 60fps, can you even tell the difference from 70fps vs 90fps? Does is make animations even more smooth? Is there a point of diminishing results? Or is it just bragging rights? who can get the most FPS at Ultra setting at the highest resolution?

I don't think they, nor Sony, deserve any extra credit for focusing on "gaming." They are videogame consoles, that is their primary function.
I think what most people are "afraid" of is the possibility that the other features could take away from the "gaming" part of "videogame console." They're concerned that MS, instead of focusing 100% on gaming is now split. A certain % goes to gaming focus, another ...
