Yeah, Sony has to pay the import duty as their factory is in Asia and that tax rate ,I believe, currently sits at over 80% (which is astronomical). As stated above MS has a factory in Brazil and can therefore avoid those import duties.
The price hike is not Sony's fault - they'd have to be giving them away to compete with that tax rate imposed on them.
So, with the top of the console 'popping off' to replace the HDD - who's betting they start selling different colours/designs to replace the stock piano black plates with? Maybe even including some with 'limited edition' games - much like the 360 did? There's money to be made and the more customisation options the better!
PS4- A bear (powerful, no nonsense, carnivorous)
Xbone - An Eagle (high flying with little effort and can change direction quickly, predatory, great eyesight)

Additionally, I am not totally selfish and don't think ANYONE in the world should have to pay a premium price for something which won't work for them. Much like the reviled 'always on' feature they backtracked on - why should people pay for a feature they cannot use? Not to mention the cable features will only ...
This all, of course, is acting on the assumption that the Kinect 2 works as well as they say it does - with all languages and accents. Somehow, I'm not entirely convinced it will. But if you're a suit wearing, educated and preferably wealthy North American you should be okay....but as far Micro$oft are concerned, who else matters??

Their facebook team is usually pretty good but whoever runs their twitter is a complete a-hole. Very short, rude and aggressive whenever I have brought anything to their attention on twitter. Their facebook is usually much friendlier and helpful in my experience.

Intricate and elaborate does not automatically mean successful. Sometimes (if not most of the time) the best solutions are the simplest. Over-complication leaves plenty of scope for things to go wrong.

MS have spent the last 2 days denying they have any knowledge of the resolution it will run at on the Xbone - Sony just come out and say it.
Definitely sounds to me like Microsoft are keeping back detrimental information to me otherwise, like Sony just did, why wouldn't they just come out and say it? I refuse to believe, where multi-platforms are concerned, that either Microsoft or Sony has access to more information than the other.
