damn I hate ps3 shooters that use R1 as the trigger, reason why I bought the first one for the 360. but damn I do want extraction, almost bought a Wii just to play it. anybody played it? is it worth getting the ps3 version over the 360?

That just entails who the game is made for. Though FP's as a whole have the same concept, you point and shoot, most behave differently so design by committee would work.
All you'd have to do is decide that you are going after the Halo crowd or the CoD crowd, and then cater your design for THAT crowd. Though a lot of people play both, they are built in different universes and thus cater to different crowds. Sci-Fi vs modern day

Fans may or may not know what works together, but they damn well know what they want. It's up to the talented devs to know WHAT will work together, making it work together, and then informing the fans what couldn't work together, so that everyone is on the same page.

GG has said nothing or even hinted at some type of co-op. We all want it. A lot of things were complained about, I hardly doubt they are going to give us want we really want. Instead of hearing about features we want(co-op, MP,) they have spent way too much time talking about features(Move support, 3D) that most of us are not going to take advantage of.
The problem I have with the halo series is the ending. I only played a little bit of 1 and enjoyed 2 up until the end. I've never beat 1 so maybe they made it clear in 1 that this would be a trilogy. The ending of 2 left me feeling lacking and unsatisfied.
Played a little bit of 3s SP and it's MP and I just wasn't that impressed with the actual GAMEPLAY. Everyone always talks about the features(forge, replay, party up,) of 3s MP, and not gameplay. That's it. ...

Most of what you said IS true, but the game is still fun to play though. I would have been mad had I payed full price for it, but since I didn't it's nice summer fun. I suggest for everyone for a nice price drop, but most will enjoy the game for what it is, and not for what it isn't.
I can tell this game didn't have a huge budget, so I don't get why people think it's going to have UC or GOW graphics. Or the smartest AI. It's not. But the graphics ...
All said and very well true in most cases. I've never really been into the shooters that took place during WW1 or WW2 so I missed out on a lot of shooters. It wasn't until COD4 had been out for years that I even knew it was a different era. I just never paid attention to anything that said COD because of the era in which it took place.
Needless to say when I finally picked it up I got my ass handed to me quite regular. Same with MW2. But the key is to take your licks ...

Now this is the truth. why more people don't realize it is beyond me. I have my 360 for my shooters, and my PS3 for games like this. I didn't buy Heavy rain because I'm not interested in what I think is a movie game, and I can't see myself BUYING AW because I'd only play it once. A suspense thriller loses it's edge when you know what's about to happen, no?

Game is a solid 8, if I had to give a score. It has it's flaws, and not worth $60 bucks IMO, but still worth a buy when it's cheaper. luckily I got it for about $30.
