Great read and as most have said, it's the $60 price tag that's turning gamers to buy used. that's NOT an impulse buy devs, take note.
I used to by 2 new games every month when they were $50, but I don't like going over the $100 mark for ONE of my hobbies.
top that off not EVERY game is worth $60, so they need to really be honest about their product and what they are putting out.

I agreed with you, but it's your own fault. Just by looking at the title you should have known it was going to be full of I'm better than you comments. Like the gamester above stated, just click on the articles that DON'T say opinion, and stick to the ones that at least appear like it's related to gaming.
Most of the articles are flamebait and trash, but there are some good contributors on here, just not many...
Of course it was the sales or lack thereof. This is why MS has so many haters, because they don't care about what's good for gamers or what gamers want, it's ALL about sales with them.
Just because it's a business doesn't mean you can't give gamers what they want and still make a nice profit, but they don't see it that way.

And I have to disagree. Preowned games are cheaper than that, even near launch. There is more than one option than GS. I buy preowned games on amazon DAYS after release for at least a $10 savings.
Now you say $10 is not that much of a savings, but I buy 4 or 5 at a time. Now let's see $10 a saving on 5 games saves me $50 that I now can spend on ANOTHER game.
Now without the option of viable preowned games I buy MAYBE 1 or 2, if that.

this is the way to go. reward those that buy new, but not by punishing those that buy used. that's a good way to LOSE sales in my book...
just look at the last couple of games to do something this and the sales are not what they hoped for.
that only works for SP games. If you have to wait till the price goes down, which could be months IF you can't catch a sale, chances are the online portion COULD be dead or dieing. Unless the game is great, which you won't know until you play it, the online would have died down a great deal.
And if you need a code to play online, you're unable to rent it to see if it's worth the price.
So what would you have liked? A blond kid saying "dude where's my psp?" get real, you and most of the people here are racist, and will find ANY and EVERY reason to justify why you don't like the new spots, when in reality there is only one reason.
I LOVE KB, not because of his race, but because his witty style appeals to me as an adult. But the truth of the matter is, his CHARACTER is an arrogant annoying prick, but it's alright for him for SOME reason....

exactly. he was never calm. can't tell you how many times I've ALMOST destroyed my entire gaming set-up. I know I've destroyed countless controllers. and you know what? I felt a great deal better releasing all that energy.
Do you know what happens when you hold all that in, without release? You snap at the wrong time at the wrong people. It is a fact that ALL energy needs to be released in SOMEWAY of equal proportion, and sooner or later it's coming out.
