Seeing as how just about CPU sold in the last decade on PC has been x64 capable I really feel that they could have made this move a LONG time before now.
And yes I know you need a 64bit OS but again, a very large portion of PCs/laptops have been sold with a 64bit OS and certainly any PC gamer out there has a 64bit OS because they want to be able to use all of their RAM.
The answer to this question completely depends on whether PC users have a mid range GPU available near the time of the next consoles that can push 4K.
Before you bite my head off just remember the GPUs in consoles are typically damn near equal to a mid-range GPU on the PC on launch day.
My answer? Yes. The PC enthusiasts among will most likely buy up enough new and more powerful hardware between now and then to create the demand for a 4k capable GPU before ...
This is what happens when you water a game down for the masses. The masses never wanted to play it to begin with (they'll stick to candy crush) and the loyal fans won't support you either.
Congrats on your hard earned failure. Now go back and make the game in the same spirit that made the series popular to begin with.
Zzzzzzzzz........
The game is fun and just about any PC with even a low end GPU in it can run the first one. You should really give it a try. Its cheap and one of the most fun team based zombie games ever made.
If it was just like the first one with better graphics it would be a very good game.
But then add in all the new stuff on top of it?
TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too bad about the gameplay. Looks pretty good though regardless of all other things wrong with it.
Because if the market approves the people have spoken. They want remasters. Whether you like it or not, enough people have said with their money they want remasters and they will get remasters. You don't hear my crying because people still make and sell country music even though I can't stand to listen to it. They will make new games and new IPs. They will just also make the occasional remaster.
Deal with it.
Then don't buy them. If this was forced on us (or the only games being made period) I would complain. But no one is making you purchase them. Don't like it? Vote with your money.
I am actually looking forward to some remastered games. Others not so much.
This is my thought. For everyone one person I know that likes Halo I know 4 PC gamers that wouldn't play it if it were free.
Maybe the new Halo's will be more interesting than the ones in the past but its just a shooter (with a decent story!) like many hundreds of others.
Then I guess games where the only high population is in town centers like Neverwinter are not MMOs... /sarcasm.
Not seeing as how this is a problem. They're still working on Rust. They just hired new people to start working on the rough edges of a new game. Lots of devs do this very same thing.
Now if the other game comes out as early access while Rust is still not finished.. then it might be time to grab the pitch forks.
I like Clem. But I wouldn't hate having a more adult themed game and would rather play as an adult. I feel like the Walking Dead games are a little too mickey mouse/pg-rated with having Clem as the main character.
Glad I played the beta. I won't be buying this game after all. Too repetitive just like every other MMO. Makes me worry I will feel the same way about Division.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
No, it isn't more powerful and you show your vast ignorance of the tech side of the gaming world by saying something so idiotic. But then again you have 1 bubble so it must be a common theme with you.
This article gets a +1 to full retard and an extra 50% chance to roll a dumbassery of the day award.
I miss Westwood. One of the first companies I remember knowing the name of as a teen and always looking forward to their next project.
Ditching the lame CELL in favor for x86 was the smartest move they've made in years. The second smartest was adding a decent amount of RAM.
Nope.
