You should be banned. I find you and your comments so ridiculous that I find it hard to believe that you're genuine. It bamboozles me that people can seemingly just accept being so f*cking dumb; so utterly oblivious to everything... no thoughts, no rationality, no analysis, nothing. I hate that people like you exist in this world, for it would be a eutopia without. If you're not genuine and you get amusement from this you are just as much of a tool and should be just as ashamed.
Even when you call them out for the stupidity of bullsh*t such as "Killzone 2!! Best game ever made!!" (none of them have played it beyond the beta yet and it has hardly any reviews) they click 'disagree' in hordes. No rational reply; just a click on that button - the height of irrational, ignorant stupidity. To you fanboys: are you in denial, or are you actually pleased that you are the way you are?
I finished Saints Row 2 today and it sucks testicles. All the 'fun sh*t' that people rave about isn't actually that fun when the city you're doing it in is boring and nondescript, the mechanics are 2nd-rate, and you're forced to do in them in order to complete the story (which is dull too)
My point, with my final bubble, was that all CG videogame cutscenes are unimmersive - not some. They don't envoke any real emotion from me, and never have, and are nowhere near the best (or second best) that movies offer. I don't know whether it's simply because of the CG (I do enjoy Pixar films, so perhaps not...), the undoubtedly poor scripts and directing, or just a nasty mixture of the two. Good gameplay goes a long way towards masking it (see Zelda - a plain, plain story) but that does n...
I can understand that it's a matter of taste, but the MGS stories are ludicrously over-the-top, and, to be frank, filled with too much useless tripe. Don't get me wrong, the games are fun, but not many (if any) respectable movie critics would rate them for their story-telling. As for GTA4; its story is good by game standards but it doesn't come close to the epic gangster movies. I would, however, rate Bioshock. After the overall lack of attention and resource-allocation throughout the...
Xbox Live (in Europe, anyway) only accepts Visa and Mastercard. I don't know about you guys, but I find that, as someone who doesn't use either, a pain in the f*cking bum. It means I have to use a sh*tty, unofficial site which takes ages (trust me, it really does) or go to a shop and buy a coupon, which defeats half the purpose of downloadable content.
Only played the PS3 version, and I thought it was good. The firefights are pretty solid - the AI seemed good and bullets feel like they have weight. Plus, I like the fact you can flip tables and topple vending machines for cover. Enemies do take too many bullets to die though. When you're used to playing your CoDs and ending things with a burst or 2 it gets frustrating. The bit in the school was pretty cool too - first time a game's actually made me feel on edge for a long time. I di...
I have to agree with you killzonegamer. It's a far better piece of hardware than the Xbox, but the 360 is so much smoother and more streamlined - I find the dashboard incredibly user-friendly... even fun. The words I'd use to describe the Playstation's version are sterile and mechanical. In Home they even went about creating a friendly seaside town, yet it still feels sterile and uninviting. I'm bored of it already. I have also gotten used to the Xbox controller and find it fantastic - ...
If they fix the glitches, and the ridiculously slow elevators and airlocks I'd probably buy it again. As for L4D going multiplat: if it does, you can pretty much guarantee that Valve will have nothing to do with it (you'll probably all have read Gabe Newell's views on the PS3. Here's a link if you haven't - http://www.gamesindustry.bi... ). Like The Orange Box, someone ...
about whining Playstation owners? F*ck them and their bitterness - this is going to be, almost without doubt, awesome. The amount of pre-release flak an exclusive game gets is directly proportional to the amount of envy it creates.
I only played the story, but 3 times during that 8 hours or so I had game-stopping glitches. I've never had more than 1 occur in any other game. That is ridiculous. It should never have been released like that. I do mean to go back to it, but memories of waiting in elevators and decontamination chambers is putting me off. When I think of Mass Effect I can only think of waiting, and waiting, and f*cking waiting some more. I understand they fixed this for the PC version, so I assume that...
Do you not realise that the 10s GTA4 and MGS4 got were based on the opinions of the ONE person who reviewed them? To get GOTY the decision has to be unanimous amongst the whole team (plus, the original reviewer might have changed their mind). As I see it, GTA4 is too much of a mixed bag, and enjoyment of MGS4 is arbitrary - you either love it or hate it. If your mind isn't too fanboyified, and you can be arsed, read the Eurogamer MGS4 review - it explains this very well.
GTA4 is awesome. Yeah, the friend missions are sh*t, there isn't much to do when you've completed the story, and finding all those pigeons, stunt jumps, etc, is boring as hell... but the story missions are sensational. I completed it (all 30 hours) in 3 sittings - I couldn't turn it off. I can't wait for the DLC, because the city is so massive that it deserves more exploration. It is one hell of an achievement, and while those with insight enough (most of the critics) can see that, it's unfor...
Games are fun, and lots of people didn't know that until the Wii came out (yeah, whether the Wii is actually fun is debatable). It's only a matter of time before some of those casual players realise the gaping difference in quality between games, and start taking more care in what games they buy. I have personally noticed a big difference in the penetration that video games are making - TV commercials are on all the time, people like Speilberg and Peter Jackson are lumping praise on them, you...

And the real time inventory. Pissed me off in Deadspace.
Man, look at the disagrees you guys are getting. This site is the pits.

It's written by Junot Diaz, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, MIT professor - and gamer - about Grand Theft Auto 4's story.

Ditto about Ico and SOTC. They're getting harder to get hold of now too and are pretty much the same price as a new 360/PS3 game.

F*ck's sake, you tool. Quit your defensive whining and go buy an Xbox - it's good. And RRoD jokes? Ouch. Biting.
