i played the demo on PC and loved it. unfortunately, it comes with secuRom so i'll have to pass on this one =/
wow i didn't think the 580 would hit until next year! looks like i'll be switching out a 460 early next year
well, at least we know there's 2 co-op modes now =)
i think it's safe to say that this CoD is gonna be packed with quite a few more features than it's predecessors.
i've already assumed this has slipped into early 2011. if it comes out this year, then i'll be pleasantly surprised.
i don't get what the deal is though. if the game is done, then what's going on exactly?
this is mostly because AMD DX11 cards have been out quite a bit longer than nVidia ones. the Fermi cards just released the middle of this year while the AMD counterparts came out back in Sep of '09 man. c'mon now.
regardless, only the gamers win with such good competition. cheaper prices.
i'm no mum, but when i first saw kinect, the first thing that popped into my head was "wtf is this thing?"
and when i saw a demo of it in action i thought "lag-tastic".
i'll be waiting to see if they drop some hardcore games next year in hopes that it's got less lag then.
lol
how about a review? lol
edit: and it looks like the 360 wins this one =/
i had the same problem with netflix. took a few times before it would work. but i've also experience a complete lock up on the dashboard, and another one while in game. there's def some issues. my guess is there will be a patch
well that's all fine and dandy, but i won't be one of the ones picking this up for a while, if ever. i still haven't seen anything that interests my personal gaming tastes. so, while the tech may be innovative, you gotta have the software to back that up.
ditto man. wtf happened??? pretty disappointed
well, i hope Sorcery does a lot better. that game looks so cool
i rock an Asus Rampage III Formula. great mid range with some bells and whistles.
it's a good game. their score, 8.5, is about right. would be too generous to give it a 9. i have fun in it. i think it's better than Fable 2. i still think i liked the first Fable the most though.
i don't think it's mediocre. that's just a rough score. it's worth at least an 8 in my book
ME2, RDR, and Halo Reach have been the best games this year imo (note: my first Halo game).
honorable mentions should include Castlevania and Vanquish for a good reboot and new IP
@maria, i gotcha =)
@nihilism, yup it's all about optimization. gcards are crazy spec'd now. devs need to do better with optimizing for sure. Crysis 2 should be a little less demanding than previous games in the franchise. or so i hope
edit: bot matches would be awesome!
it really doesn't take that much to run these games nowadays. my roommate is building a new rig for $700 with an AMD processor.
dual card DX11 solutions should spit this out easy. (gtx460, radeon 6850)
my two GTX 460's play Metro 2033 at max ha =D
Crysis 2 can't be more demanding than that.
while it's great that Crytek are finally bringing Crysis to consoles, the only real way to play a Crysis game is via PC. high end rigs are gonna stomp all over the console versions.
edit: @hennessey, you would end up getting more than just Crysis...believe me lol
completely disagree with that. 480 takes a lot of power, emits more noise and heat.
2 460's in SLI blows it away. period. better performance, cheaper (at least it was), less heat, less noise (yep even outta two of 'em), less power consumption. i did a LOT of research when the new fermi cards started coming out. esp since this was my first rig.
i'm enjoying the game personally. very easy to pick up for a quick gaming session.
