I have been voting with my wallet. I've never bought a CoD game... The only Battlefield games I've bought were the Bad Company series and I've never played the multiplayer part of the second one (don't think the first one even had multiplayer).
Mean while I bought UT3, Quake4, and every halo up till halo2 (cause I don't have a 360. And I still play UT99 and UT3... not every day or even every week... but I get a good 16-20 hours in per month.

Graphics are reaching a plateau. They are approaching photo realistic levels... and they are already good enough that the uncanny valley is no longer an issue. Also we have reached the point where large improvements in VPU tech still doesn't produce noticeable improvements in actual graphics.

Yes, I agree... at the end of the day gameplay should trump everything else. Gameplay should be first and foremost and gameplay should never suffer at the hands of story, graphics, or even ingenuity. But its not wrong for me ...

I'm 300 points shy of the best possible military strength rating, have a perfect me1 and 2 playthrough, and yet at 50% galactic readiness the best ending is not even close to being available.

sounds to me like your mistake was buying the game for a system that requires you to pay twice to play online.

I've never seen any hacking in a battlefield game. What i've seen is people taking advantage of the "walls don't stop bullets" feature put into the game by the developers. It's not hacking when all you have to do to do it is point your gun at a wall and pull the trigger.
