That's why I hope upcoming games like Yooka-Laylee, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and the upcoming Ratchet & Clank reboot do well because we NEED more games like these.

To those of you who think that horsepower is THE reason for poor support you are (with respect) ill-informed on the subject. Please note that no-one; and I mean NO-ONE has been able to figure out the innards of the system (not even the "experts" on neogaf) and still largely remains a mystery.

The Wii U is engineered to be incredibly efficient and powerful, while sipping on less than 40w of electricity. It has a more modern GPU than those found in the PS3/360 in addi...

GTA2 was my first gta. All the one liners that the peds and cops would blurt out had me in tears sometimes (Gimme yo wallet / HELP!)

edit: I forgot about the Elvis impersonators you could mow down, for a bonus none-the-less lol.

I got Tropical Freeze and I can tell you, it's one of the best platformers ever made. That's coming from someone who's gamed since the NES.

Aw yisssss. Just what I wanted to hear.

No, third party games are not bad. But the now they're back to resting on their laurels like the PS2 days. I liked them better as the underdog and the PS3 was them at their best, now I feel like I could just go back to PC gaming for my multiplat needs...

The PS3 is almost 9 years old and still goes for $250-300. I don't see the PS4 going any lower than that by the end of this gen either.

Sony isn't agressive and hungry like they used to be, when they're on top they drag their butt cheeks. They're back to having the PS be a third party box and started shutting down first party studios. I am disappointed in them as now they're doing the same crap Microsoft was doing last gen that disgusted me...like paid onl...

Haha no way, not this year anyway. Microsoft and Sony are just chompin' at the bit to get gamers to upgrade, getting devs and pubs into these marketing deals to advertise and push new gen versions. The PS360 and/or Wii U versions will get stealth announced a month or two from launch. This is after they've dragged everyone to buy a PS4 or XBone lol.

Ugh...This is typical "let's look here and take this out of context in an attempt to spin negativity". All about those clicks clicks clicks...

They're handling of the VC has been garbage. You can thank Dan Aldeman for alot of this, moved VC off to the side to push wiiware shovelware and Indies. He's also responsible for the drip-feed tactic that we deal with. Whoever succeeded him isn't any better.

note: I have no problem with Indies ;)

Paper Mario and Metroid.

I don't think devs will "max it out" persay but I do feel it's potential is more finite than previous gen systems. For what you gain in having an easier programming environment you lose that exotic nature that comes with something like the cell, which is why once devs really rolled up their sleeves produced better and better results as time went on. Just go back and compare ps3 launch games to later gen games for comparison.

They did all they could to engin...

This, this is awesome lol.

They appear to be making more of the right moves lately and I hope they can translate it into long term success, just so I have awesome games to play into the foreseeable future:p

Secondly, skimming over some of the replies here: What part of this article mentions anything about Sony? lol

The only thing I can think of is that they secured another third-party exclusive, and one that's completely unexpected. Announcing one of their own IPs like Metroid would be hype, but not surprising...hmm.

I'm open to hints.

(wink wink)

It's about time MS, bring the heat. Focus on exclusives.

This will probably be something like a controller shell you can snap around/over your phone for mobile games. But if they're actually thinking about bringing some of their legacy hardware I will be ecstatic.

I can agree with this, the war over multiplats is laughable at best. If you have a PS/XBOX/PC and seldomly a Nintendo system you're playing these gmaes either way lol.

It's like that's all gamers have left to argue about these days (fps, res, specs, dlc) when back in the 16/32/64-bit days it actually made sense. Nintendo, Sega, and Sony had awesome and unique systems with largely different libraries and their own identities.

That would be boss, if not then there's always that new game that Playtonic is working on (project ukulele)

Smart move, but I wish they would get on the ball and focus on getting more of their 1st/2nd party games out the door. Bloodborne is a great start and Uncharted is coming eventually but I'm gonna need more to make the jump. Have no interest in XBone at the moment and probably won't any time soon. They had piqued my interest with the rumors of Banjo and maybe bringing back some Rare IPs but of course I they dropped that ball.
