You know what that means? It means the folks over at Polygon are having their crow shakes right about now. It seems they wisely removed their stupid pie chart some time ago too, hmmm.

So much for "Only selling a third of the lowest-selling entry in the series". Mario Kart Super Circuit sold about 5.5 million on GBA and methinks ...
I know 99% of these rumors/leaks are BS but I would be stoked for a new proper entry, I absolutely adore this series. Back in 11th grade I would miss countless days just so I could play TTYD and Timesplitters 2 lol, among others.
Give me a true sequel to the N64/GC games Ninty. Then give me Metroid. Then give everyone that F-Zero game we've waited two gens for and I am content.
Speaking for myself personally, it doesn't really bug me so much about retail games being locked as they've been pretty good with localizations this gen.
What irritates the living daylights out of me is not having access to dat sweet sweet Japanese virtual console. They actually get Squaresoft games over there for one...I'm serious. The service over here has been sub-par to put it lightly.
"Dedicated game systems" LOL poor mobile...
Friendly jokes aside, It's good to see them as dedicated as ever. I hope they do another digital event + treehouse stream this time. You can bank on them returning to the stage next year as they'll be announcing new hardware and that's something that you want the press there for.
I gotta say this year I might actually watch the Microsoft conference too. Phil Spencer has said that they're fo...
SMTxFE is 2015 for Japan and 2016 for the west I believe.
I don't think we'll see much more out of Microsoft tbh. I think they've pretty much shown their hand apart from the rumored remake of Gears 1. That along with Halo 5, RotTR, and the usual suspects are their exclusive lineup this fall.
Sony is a wildcard. Apart from Persona 5 I can see them surprising us with one or maybe two big 1st party exclusives to fill the void. Perhaps Guerrilla's...
Sounds like the the Gamecube playbook. With all due respect, you make it easier than it sounds. I bet you if they tried this again they would get the same result, people would rather just buy the new Xbox or PlayStation. Nothing will change the stigma surrounding the company.
Online isn't anything new. Sega was doing online with the Saturn/Dreamcast and I was playing Doom on a 28k modem back in the day. Microsoft just made it popular (for better or worse) and monetized it.
I played Splatoon last night and had a flawless experience, as I do with Mario Kart...and Smash..and so on. I don't know what you're on about.
They will most certainly disrupt the market again. How or to what extent I'm not positive but what I am sure of is that if they find radical success again then they WILL be coattailed by the competition. This is still unofficially the "Nintendo industry" since almost any innovation can be traced back to them in some form.
No matter how many consoles they sell or how "relevant" they are in the eyes of gamers and devs alike, they've outlasted every o...
Both of you look at this from the extremes lol. I would say that of course I would like ALL games on my Nintendo system because variety is the spice of life right? Even though in brutal honesty, I feel that 4th-6th gen was the golden age of third parties. So much more awesome back then.
Anyway, the Wii U is primarily for the Nintendo fan at this point. Third parties went up to bat early on and it was a strikeout shortly after launch. EA hung it up before the game even started...
IDK black flag was good as well as the second game but never really got into the series personally.
Unified proper accounts? Awesome, better late than never I suppose. I consider this the real news.
Free post game content and regular updates...don't see that much anymore.
A big and bold adventure game with tight gameplay and co-op/multiplayer is my wish. Punch out on Wii was good enough but I want something fresh.
Syphon Filter or GTHO.
I would like to see Metroid and Paper Mario from established franchises, another new I.P. like Splatoon, and more completely unexpected collaboration projects from third parties. Like a gritty Zelda game done by none other than FROM software...hmmm
Oh and Super Mario Sunsine HD and/or Eternal Darkness HD. Sunshine would be an excellent candidate as it always felt rushed or half-baked and could really use the extra polish like they gave Wind Waker. Can't wait to see what t...
I hope it's true and we get another free game promotion, I missed out on the MK8 deal. I've been lookin' at getting Wind Waker since I feel like I'm going through Zelda withdrawl and the delay is making it worse.
Unless something drastic happens (and I mean DRASTIC) I'm thinkin' that's a big fat no there guy...
You insist on trying to strawman. You are entitled to your opinions but they have no basis in fact, it is only conjecture. No, I am not a "console engineer" (miscommunication) but I am in a similar field an know what I'm talking about.
To say something is bad because "reasons" is different to the real issues with the system. Things such as marketing, things such as demographics, consumer interest, word of mouth, interest/disinterest in the software li...
You don't seem like you made any attempt to read or understand the point I was trying to make. I have to say I'm shocked!
Since we like to act like we know everything about things that we don't and like to troll. If you would like, I will be more than happy to PM you a lesson in console engineering and design which I am in the field of.
Good day.
It's over half actually. The fiscal year report puts Wii U LTD at 9.54 million as of March 31st 2015. Still a shade under ten million I would guess currently.
