This game was way out of my radar for many months. Now I REALLY want this game.
No, it's saying that FF13 is going to be so good that it's going to be a must-have. Even people who wouldn't normally buy a system, or don't feel like getting a new-generation console will get the PS3 because of FF13.
I'd say even more than that. Final Fantasy is a huge franchise in Japan, and the PS3 is now available at an affordable price. The best part is that once they buy the PS3, they don't have to worry about aftermarket fees. They can simply buy a PS3 and FF13 and enjoy.
It should be free, or at least the online playability portion of it. They don't even host dedicated servers, while PSN does and it's free.

Google the word LOCALIZATION. Thanks.
PS3 lacks games? What is this 2007? The PS3 has dominated 2009 so far.
So what I played inside the private E3 booth was the final product?
Oh lord... I have a feeling quite a few people are going to be disappointed.
Depends who you are. I don't see how anyone could not have a PC, and upgrading it to run the X360 multiplatform titles costs less than the 360 itself. For that reason alone, the PS3 is the clear winner to me.
Sorry, I misread you. I agree with you.
You can't compare a game like Halo 3: ODST to Counter-Strike. They are 2 very, very different games. Halo aims to satisfy the wide audience with casual, enjoyable gameplay. On the other hand Counter-Strike is simple on the surface, but very deep in terms of community and competition. I honestly don't feel any FPS stands up to Counter-Strike competitively, but that's just my opinion.
GET IT.
Good idea. This is a full-fledged game. The only thing that makes it $20 is that it is essentially a remake of the PS1 game. Totally worth a buy.
It's not a terrible game, it's just terribly priced. It's basically DLC with 2 moderate additions. Any other company would get ridiculed for such a move.
Well that's just my opinion. 2 members of my staff and I interviewed a guy while we played the game, and it wasn't impressive to any degree. Heck, it wasn't finished yet so maybe it has gotten better, but the chances of that are slim. I'd be very surprised if it averages above 83%.
The quicker the masses realize what the PS3 truly is, the quicker it'll claim its throne. People are just used to the negative media from the first year.
The only thing that makes the DS appealing to me is Scribblenauts. The PSP looks like a solid handheld.
The top 4 deserve to be there, but not Magna Carta 2. I played it at E3 and it was so incredibly average that I can't see why it'd be on a top 5 list.
Sure it can. At this point, the large impact of Blu-Ray alone has helped Sony for many years to come.
Yes, yes and yes. I totally agree with the article. PD has a great track record, and with so much time in development I just can't see this game being anything far from perfect.
I highly recommend this game. I will be reviewing it on my blog and PlayStation Lifestyle this Wednesday. Check that out later this week if you're on the fence about buying the game.
