Been looking forward to this for quite a while! Good article, nice setup, but I disagree on the 9800GT! I'd rather get a 750i mobo, stick a 9600GT in there and go for SLI later. The 9800GT in SLI scales like *****, which is a shame, the stock version costs as much as an overclocked 9600GT! For the rest, the E7200 is a good processor for a good price! 2GB should definitely be enough for SCII, not to forget that XP 32-bit doesn't support more than 2GB! Meh, don´t bother trying to play Crysis on max. settings. You need an SLI/Crossfire rig for that... I´ve got the XFX 9600 GT in SLI + an E8400 @ 3,6 GHz to back it up and I just manage 30-35 FPS. That's @ 1280x1024 with NO AA! Warhead however runs way smoother! 40+ FPS most of the times! =D
It could, depending on the content put in the demo/bèta.
But the difference between a demo and a bèta can IMO be huge!
The demo from lets say, Mirror's Edge, doesn't reveal much at all, what it did do, was make me even more excited about the full game, can't wait to play it! A bèta can have several bugs, glitches, etcetera... that can damage the player's idea of the game and might even cause the player to reconsider his future purchase of that game.

Ooohh, I'd love a shooter done by Blizzard. It'll probably have very well done RPG elements and such! But I'm definitely not expecting it before 2010, they're way too busy with StarCraft II and Diablo III... We'll see!

I think it'll be very addictive! Just like the arena mode in Spartan Total Warrior, still play it today. Why? Because the gameplay is addictive! Gears of War 2's gameplay is addictive too. Why? Cause who can not get enough of slicing your opponents in half with a chainsaw, execute amazing finishing moves and shoot your enemies to pieces in the most brutal ways? Come on!
