The bar is set astronomically high for this franchise. I cant wait to see what they bring to the table.
Uh, those consoles were well established and had already run their 'Mario Course'. This is the Wii U and there has been a tradition of Zelda games rocking balls on other platforms. Super Mario 3D was THE system seller and it came out a year after the Wii U. Plus, back in the Super Nes days, Nintendo was king. These days, they are really behind. I guess it shows how out of touch Nintendo is lately.

I heard of a Class Action Lawsuit against BF4 being drafted. So it appears there are enough angry people for litigation to take place.
Bad move altogether. Nintendo is already confusing the populace at every turn. They need to keep their franchises separate. There is already an HD Dynasty Warriors on Wii U (that didn't score that great) so why another? Just to keep Link fresh in peoples minds?

Do pre-orders actually sell though? You can download practically any game on a midnight release. I've never preordered a game ever, so I don't know how popular they are.

Exactly my point. Why have the spin off at all? Sic those developers on the next Zelda Wii U game and forget this. This looks like it could be a $20 Wii store purchase. Nintendo needs to push Zelda Wii U HARD. This is a system mover. Enough remakes and spin offs Nintendo, you need to focus on the future. These confusing reveals are what contributed to the low Wii U sales in the first place.

Another confusing reveal. Thanks Nintendo. Why couldn't you just do another tried and true Zelda game instead of trying something different? This is not the time to deviate when you are trying to push a legacy like Zelda on a new system. Nobody is crying for a new dynasty warriors. But we are all clamouring for a good Zelda game. And no more HD remakes! Try something original on the Wii U.
The quality of a Nintendo game compared to the shovelware created for cell phones is incomparable. Nintendo makes great games. Cell phone games are dime a dozen and the f2p model isn't for me. I don't mind paying $40 for a game that's worth it rather than nickel and dime you to death like cell games.
