Because no man's sky was NEVER a multiplatform game. Seriously, I don't know what the hell it is with some people around here. It's like common sense just evades them when they go into drone mode.
How the hell does no man's sky, a new IP, compare to a franchise that has been multiplatform for over 20 years?????????????
Personally, I don't care whether it's a timed exclusive or not, microsoft and SE have just ensured I will never buy this game or any other TR game.
I have absolutely no issues if companies want to get exclusives developed by third parties, that's fair game (somewhat), but I draw the line when a game has been a multiplatform game for as long as people can remember and then a company goes and moneyhat's it to make it an exclusive, timed or not. That, is BS.
No offense bro but, don't be "that guy".
Senseless clickbait article. I should have known better after just reading the title. None of the points justify the conclusion.
"The Wii U will not replace your Xbox One or Playstation 4 but it’s not supposed to. Nintendo is not trying to win the war this time around but in some ways they just might." And this right here is what you call being delusional.
Nintendo most definitely tried to win this war. They thought they could strike gold a second t...
Good for you, I paid 400 bucks for a next gen system after spending 8 years with the last gen ones. You sure as hell better believe I expect to get better resolutions and frame rates for the money i'm spending in games and accessories on this new gen. And if they fall short on the resolution and framerate they had better make my brain melt with mind blowing graphics.
@scar
That is not the point. Please read my post again. The base foundation for both games are completely different. One was remastered from a ps3 game and the other was remastered from one of the best looking pc games ever. There is no way a remastered ps3 game will ever look better than one remastered from a pc game, even if you're talking about the versions on the same system.
@Artista
Nowhere in my post did I mention value. If I did,please indicate where. Paying $50 for two games is obviously of better value than paying $50 for one. Especially when those two games are metro.
I was strictly talking about the graphical comparisons. Refer to my first post as to why, no matter how you look at it, it doesn't make sense to compare the two.
For the love of God, I have no idea why people are starting to compare the remastered versions of TLOU and Metro redux. What the hell were people expecting? How can a remastered ps3 game ever look better than a remastered PC game that is considered to be one of the best looking games of all time?
TLOUR does look and run better than the ps3 version but at the end of the day, for naughty dog to really push the graphics of that game they would have had to do a remake, not a rema...
No one is rooting for sony to have a monopoly, they're just rooting for microsoft to go to hell. If you don't get that by now then you haven't been listening to or understanding the gaming community for the past year and a half.
just......wow!
What proof do you have of this?
Don't believe neither. When it comes to EA you can't believe anything they say beforehand. When the service launches and enough people buy into it, then you'll see what the real deal is when they completely change all the rules.
And this surprises people why???
@antbolton89
or killzone or have seen driveclub, the order, bloodbourne or uncharted 4.
This is the heights of ridiculousness. How the hell can anyone expect them to start giving out free games for a system that isn't even a year old? People like this author are the reason the gaming industry is in such a sickening state.
Why would anyone who is a true gamer at heart even expect this? Giving away free AAA games so soon after they release will not be a good thing for the industry. We would have more companies going the route of Airtight Games and crytek.
I don't see this as a problem as long as the ps3 users are getting it free as part of the season pass. From what I remember, it was quite clear that the remastered edition would feature the game and all the existing dlc from the ps3 version. At no point in time anywhere did they ever say that the remastered version would include free future dlc. And for the price of the remastered version, I don't see why they should give it free anyway. If you want it buy it, if you don't then do...
The last of us is coming to pc?
When you say current gen to next gen do you mean the ps4 to the ps5 and the xbox one to the xbox two? Really don't intend to play this game in 6 years. \
Seriously, as journalists, you guys need to learn the difference between last-gen, current-gen and next-gen.
Do you realize that the very nature of it being an indie game means it would be more difficult to make it a multiplatform game? Indie devs are limited by time and especially manpower. They do not always have the large resources to work on all platforms like an Activision or Ubisoft. That's why a lot of the time they only work on one or two platforms or they would work on one platform first and release on another later down the line. No man's sky was developed by four guys in a room, h...
And I still won't buy it.
