Nope. More like a Heavy Rain clone
A nice comment in that site that might help some as so far it was proved that the in-game shot is fake and not the map:
"Now, the in-game screenshot is definitely fake. However I am quite convinced that the map is somewhat legitimate.
I have made some notes on the map, since many of the roads and areas on the map match up with the trailer.

Last time I checked, the post wasn't titled as "Here is new video footage from Dear Esther". But then again, you couldn't read it to see that it states that it's an old footage, could you?
as despair said, you can tweak it to your liking ;)
PC games should not have any kind of fps limitation
Yeap, really impressive stuff :D
Agreed. It's funny as hell as the SP modes are so similar in stages and scripted events
Yeap, destruction - although scripted in both cases - seems better in MW3
Hopefully Reloaded will have a better fate as it has potential. It just needs polishing and some tweaks here and there
Texture Packs will definitely come. Question is how much vRam will they require
Yeap, that's the only good thing about it. Also, from various sources, it seems to not be properly optimized for quad-cores
true.dat. It's really amazing what modders can achieve with a somewhat 'old' engine.
Guess it was a typo, lol
This is only digital sales. One million units were sold thanks to the retail sales ;)
True.dat. Once you get above 50-60fps, you simply can't go back to 30fps
Yeap. Although it's overhauled, you can pretty much notice most of Gamebryo's 'faults'. Thankfully (at least from what we've seen), there are no issues with the distant textures.
Same reasons they lied and before? ;)
You do remember when they stated that PC's were not powerful enough to run GoW 1 or when they stated that GoW PC would look even better than Crysis, right?
Somehow I'm a bit sceptic to Epic's statements. This screenshot is from the Friends activity and indicates that when it was taken, a number of friends were playing it in multiple platforms.
That's why you only see the X360 indication next to 'Batman: Arkham City' and 'BF3' (...
Everything get's cracked at the end of the day. IMO, if a publisher doesn't want to implement Steam (you can hardly find any Steam game that was playable prior release), they should use this kind of anti-piracy protection.
Imagine that, a game get's leaked and has a similar method. The first mission plays fine (a way to also trick crackers) and in the second mission everything is blurry. By the time you go to the third mission, the game crashes constantly (without...
Fair enough, some people trolled the User Reviews. Should devs fall at their level and do similar things? Nope as that would make them trolls as well. Devs IMHO should behave more 'profesionally'
Offtopic: Stark power :D
