Yeah it was a close call. Thankfully, everything worked out
The big thing here is that it was added recently. You'd expect to see a placeholder for HL2-EP3 years ago and not now after all those previous hints and tips. And since there is nothing certain, that's why it's a rumor ;)
yeap, it was in development for quite some time but now they need the extra push to finish the game
Graphics wise there won't be any significant changes (at least from what I can tell from those shots). There will be some little changes here and there but nothing ground-breaking (like grass with physics or independent blades for the grass).
Can't wait to see what a PS4/X720 Fifa game will look like
Nope, they are not from Fifa 12. They are from an early version of Fifa 13
Same here. Was a die-hard ISS player (back in the PS1 days, although I also loved Fifa98). After PES3, the series started going downhill and the latest versions of PES are a joke. Fifa on the other hand got better. Fifa 2002 was a complete joke and it started getting better with Fifa 2009
@Crazyglues:
Seems you misunderstood some things. CryEngine 3 comes with better lighting system, Global Illumination, DX11 support and more. In technical terms, it's more advanced than CryEngine 2. Oh, and multi-core CPU is better implemented in it. In fact, CryEngine 3 supports each and every feature that was showcased by the Samaritan tech demo. There was a reason why Crytek stated that CryEngine 3 is a future-proof engine and this is true indeed.
HOWEV...
Truth be told, as an engine, CryEngine 3 is amazing and comes with better lighting techniques. There are a lot of Crysis 2 mods that look better than anything we've seen in CryEngine 2 (and Crysis). It's unfortunate that Crytek won't reveal the full potential of the engine due to the multi-platform nature of C3
ArmA 3 has also one of the best DoF. Sure, it looks like a sphere-DoF but it looks really good (given the game's enormous scale)
yeap, a new Prince of Persia with co-op would be kind of cool
yeap. The lighting in particular looks way better than before and textures looks of a higher-resolution
yeah. Imagine if SSF4 or SFxT offered cross-play between platforms. Holy boy, that would be like a dream
Hopefully it will get people's attention
And Woods officially returns... well... not as a playable character but still :D
truth be told, they did release the Steam workshop and the mod tools for the PC. Skyrim PC got some love
yeah. Can't wait for it. Looks really good :D
bet that all gamers got the need ammo and flashlight 'issues'. Lol
What caboose32 said. Skyrim was saved by mods and the modding community. The modding community of Skyrim (and generally speaking of the Elder Scrolls series) is huge
Personally, I'd love to see a next-generation version of Quake 3. Same mechanics, upgraded graphics. This is how a next generation Quake 3 would look like ( http://n4g.com/news/871834/... ). But this is not going to happen. Still, it would be really cool
Actually, the PC version is slated for a June 1st release ;)
