These sub £40 PSP 3000's are like rocking horse crap to find. My Psp 2000 analogue nub broke at the weekend and Sony wanted £66 for a refurbished one so I decided to search the web for a decent cheap deal. I found the sub £40 PSP 3000 offer and tried to find one. I've rang most game and Gamestation stores in the north east and none of them have any stock they only carry the new E-1000 models for £89.
The problem is Sony discontinued the 3000's ...
It be honest I wonder how much of Frostbite 2 game engine that black box actually used because although the demo is good there is still a lot of the old NFS physics in there. The cars handle a lot like they did in undercover and the independence pass feels very similar to the canyon runs from carbon or the highway battles from undercover.
The only reason to use frosbite 2 I can see is for the out of car parts and frankly they are such a small part of the game it is almost irr...
we should have a separate identifier but its nowhere to be found yet.
The big issue with making a decision on which to buy is the fact that the 3DS is here and now but the PS Vita is another 6-7 months away here in Europe.
Given this fact there is only one answer and that's the 3DS and that's down to the fact it's a product I can (and have) buy but the PS Vita is nothing more than a Sony tech demo and retail dream at this moment in time.
I download lbp levels as well as tracks and karts from mod nation racers and play motorstorm ae online on my psp 2000. I play gran turismo psp online as well a d to do that it requires a ps3, a wifi enabled psp and the ad hoc party program installed on the ps3 console.
I think the reason we here in Europe are getting a new PSP model is because we are getting screwed over with a really late PS Vita launch. To be honest I think it's a total disgrace for Sony to think that a new cheap and nasty psp sku makes up for not releasing vita u tip well into next year.
It's an easy way for Sony to cash in while they keep us waiting !!!!
The BBC have to keep it free as here in the uk every uk home pays for a tv licence which is soley linked to the BBC services. We get fined and even prison sentence if we dont pay as such the BBC would be guilty if ripping off the British public if they allowed Microsoft to make BBC iPlayer available to gold pay subscribers only.
If ms want the BBC Iplayer it has to be free to all uk subscribers or not at all.
that works out at £165 in the UK pounds. with place holders of £239 - £289 here in the UK we get seriously screwed over !!!
the PSP is cheap as chips now !!!
here is the UK a new PSP 3000 can be had for £129.99 (same price as a DSi XL)and a pre owned PSP 2000 can be bought for £65-£70.
the PSP Go is a little expensive (£115 2nd hand or £150 new) but if you but it new you get 10 free games via system activation on PSN.
the best time to buy a PSP is now as they are cheap and if you get one with a UMD drive games can be bought for £3 u...
F1 cars do still wheelspin but they now have a double clutch system to stop it.

PS Vita maybe the best handheld but it won't rob nintendo of Market share here in the uk this year as according to reports it won't be released here until march 2012. As such nintendo will get most of the Market share this Christmas as the only real true new handheld choice at holidays 2011 will the 3ds.
A great way to loose Market share is by missing holiday release and then you keep having to play catch up and Sony seem to keep missing this point here in uk/eu and k...
i got my Nintendo 3DS just over a week ago and it cost £179.99 for the aqua blue console and SF4 3d as a bundle.
sure the 3DS was £230 at launch but retailers soon dropped the price to compete with what online retailers were offering and as such had dropped to a more reasonable £179.99 bundle or £165 on its own.
I can see why people are not jumping on the 3ds as I too was sceptical about how good the 3ds was and how the gimmick of 3d will keep me interested especially with such a lacklustre software release line up, but after playing one for myself all I can say is WOW !!!!
I was so impressed with the 3ds that I purchased one within a week of playing one first hand. Sure the big software titles everyone is wanting are not coming till the back end of the year but there is still enough...
@ da_shredder
I totally disagree with everything you say. I was really sceptical about the 3ds sosmuch so that
I read all the stories about people being being effected with headaches and that the 3d was more trouble than it's worth so stayed away from the 3ds.
On Saturday I went shopping and my local supermarket had a 3ds kiosk and from playing on pilot wings on the demo machine at the kiosk I was hooked. The whole 3rd is a total revolution to anything out there o...
people keep saying the price is a big issue with the 3DS but here in the UK Nintendo allowed retailers to set their own RRP.
to start with the 3DS was priced at £229.99 everywhere but slowly the price has dropped. here in the UK you can pick up the cosmic black 3ds for £165 or either the aqua blue and cosmic black with a selected game for £179.99, that between £50-£65 price drop since launch.
i must admit that i was sceptical about the 3DS bu...
yea its all looking good for PS Vita. only thing thats going to annoy people is the fact it wont hit the US until after the holidays and wont be in the EU/UK till end of march/beginning of april which will cost it lots of sales especially in EU/UK.
Shame Sony just cant get a world wide launch organised like MS can !!!
yea i have to agree !!!
im sat here with my standard copy and free duke talking keyring that was delivered today from Shopto !!!
Well it's been over 48 hours now for me and still no sign of an email from them. It seems the majority of people effected are with hotmail accounts (I'm one) and the rumours are MS have blocked all emails from Sony once PSN went offline.
Either way PSN has been online for 2 days and because my original console died during the outage and I bought a new one I'm being punished by not being able to sign into PSN.
Sony need to get their act together as this is ...
I would like to know that as well !!!
My 60gb ps3 died last Friday while psn was down and i didn't get my data saved. so now as my old console won't switch on due to ylod I can't access my account.on my currently only activated console. There is rumours going Round that you will be able to verify via email but only once psn is fully up and running and Sony reckon this could take weeks. I hope I'm not going go be stuck without being able to access my psn account on my n...
I dunno where your trading in but you are being ripped off. I traded in my aqua blue 3ds in on Monday and got £100 store credit from Gamestation and that had a really loose hinge. I then used the credit to get the ice white super Mario 3d land bundle as I had some credit on my elite card.
After buying that Gamestation then loaded my elite card with £35 worth of XP for a hardware purchase (25% extra XP for some reason) giving me a total of £47 to use against my next purc...
