That's the big issue here games are always developed for the most popular platform and for the last 6 years that has been the Xbox 360. Sure there have been exceptions to this but those are few and far between.
As with everything game development is all about maximum potential profit and as such 99% of all games are developed for consoles its nothing to do with consoles holding back games its about games developer wanting maximum finicial reward for their work.
This is a bargain !!!!
I've dowloaded it for my vita and you get the first 30 levels for free (easy) and for £1.99 you get the other 90 levels (tricky, taxing and mayhem).
The the special levels are 79p which I think is another 90 levels.
So for £2.78 you get a full game that is one of the best and well know puzzle games ever programmed (graphically updated version) and its all touchscreen as well, not to add the visuals look stunning o...
Not here in the UK it's not !!!
Here in the UK the ps vita version is about £1.50 - £2.00 cheaper which works out $2 - $4 if that. So here in the UK the vita version is almost the same price as the console version which sucks quite a bit.
With this new super slim version all that seems to have happened is that Sony have cut their manufacturing costs but the retail price has stayed at the same price point.
No incentive to purchase as it looks cheap and ugly as sin. If this was £100 - £150 here in the uk lots of people would buy this for their kids for Christmas, but at £199 retail it's too expensive to consider as a kids console as the better looking slim version looks a far more quality prod...
This explains why there is no ps vita footage anywhere to be found as the truth is criterion have not started any work on the vita in regards porting the game.
I was thinking its strange there is no videos or screen shots of a vita version a d it's getting close to release but it all becomes clear now.
FFS !!!!
I have not even received my copy (here in UK the street date has not been lifted) and there is already 2 patches out.
Here is the crazy thing, Sony are saying in this artical that they want to cut down the number of ports from other consoles to the vita as it waters down the experience and Sony are pushing the "cross buy" feature like a farmer milking a cow. At the end of the day cross buy is just another way of pushing ps3 ports on to vita. Due to the whole cross buy thing this artical is not worth the space it takes up.
Does that include a ps vita demo as well or just for ps3, 360 and PC ???
The easiest solution to the yearly release is to add a year of DLC to your games especially if the rules and driver/team rosters are similar. Add this DLC with a title update and that breaks the yearly release cycle.
This way you can have most of your employees working on a two year release schedule and a smaller team working on the DLC update. It's a simple solution but obviously too easy for a big company like codemasters to think of.
The only question I want answering is are the UK/EU getting a release or is this a US only like the last one ?
Saying that Sony have just released NASCAR 2011 on the EU PSN store this week so we may get by the time NASCAR 2013 is announced.
It will also look pretty darn good on my original 3DS ICE WHITE as well so there ya go !!!!
I totally agree with the tablets situation the hardware moves faster than PC tech and the same will happen with the nexus 7". This time next year the nexus will be old tech.
As for my gaming tastes I love all types of games and am just as happy if I'm playing uncharted as I am playing angry birds so i think it's probably I expected more triple A software from the vita. Another issue is cost the casual games on android are loads cheaper than on vita, take plants ...
At the moment I own 2 android tablets (1 hannspad 10.1" tegra 2 based and a novo elf 7") and a ps vita and have to admit my ps vita gets very little use due to the lack of worthwhile games, sure there is over 50 games available but quite alot are of little interest to me or are not actually that good.
My android tablets get used every day sure not always gaming but they do get used every day. I do agree there is lots of shovelware on android. another big issue is du...
All these reviews and still not a sniff of a release here in the UK even though it's out in Europe and US !!!!
ATARI GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND GET THIS GAME RELEASED HERE IN THE UK !!!!
Well here in the UK this game doesn't have a chance as all retailers have pulled it from their release schedule, cancelled pre orders and removed all existence of the game.
Nobody knows why but with no word from Atari and Slightly mad studios it's not looking good for release here in the UK.
There is rumours going round from there is no publisher that's picked the game up for UK distribution to no copies region coded for UK so no deliveries will be made. ...
Ridge racer unbounded needed a demo before release as the game has no tutorial and is initially frustrating to get to grips with. I bought it last week and it's taken me till today to actually figure out how to race at the front of the pack, before that I was nearly throwing my controller through the tv.
Reading this artical Bioshock on the vita is beginning to look like Gran Turismo on the PSP announced around launch of the system and won't arrive for years with the developer teasing with artical and trailers just to keep the interest.
To be honest I won't be suprised if Bioshock on the vita doesn't arrive for another 2 years especially if development has not even been started yet and let's remember the announcement was made over 14 months ago and the developer has s...
I would give this a purchase as long as it was more than £59. I still have a Gameboy micro and the only issue is that I can't play all my original GB carts I still own. I would love a handheld where I could play all the GB classics where most people could play them legally.
My biggest issue is due to the fact DRS & KERS are mapped to the face buttons it makes them almost impossible to use. Sumo should of allowed KERS & DRS to be mapped to the triggers or ever the rear touchpad and then the game would be great. As it is it's still good but as I don't have enough fingers to use DRS & KERS it feels more like F1 2010.
Yea I expect to see the following
1. The Ps4 itself
2. Specs
3. Features
and the best one of all
***EU & UK WILL GET THE PS4 6 MONTHS AFTER THE US AND JAPAN***
This is what will really annoy me again as it has happened with every console since the PS2 !!!!
