Sorry but something is not making any sense to me. Gamers were jumping down 360 gamer's throats (and rightfully so) for justifying an Xbox Live price increase or paying for it at all. And you're saying it's ok to spend $100 to go and buy another PS2 to play it's games. Does anyone see the hypocrisy here?
I praise the PS2 in the article, you have to try actually READING it. That usually helps. By reading the title and the first paragraph only, you're not getting the whole idea.

The 360 has both franchises but not both games in question. MGS4 still remains exclusive to the PS3. That doesn't mean MG Rising wont be up to par, this piece just brings up the idea of how high the bar has now been set by MGS4, and hoping that Conviction with it's shaky history thus far can surpass it.
with what you're saying but at the same time how many MMO's are out there? Tons. Then look at the amount of action/stealth/espionage titles, and you really can't name that many. The biggest standouts of the past 15 years are (in no particular order) Splinter Cell, Syphon Filter and Metal Gear Solid.

this game received a bit too much hype when it was first released. It's essentially Mario Bros with the ability to rewind time. Once that wears off theres nothing to get excited about here.
Represented the hay day of local multiplayer, and WWF Wrestlemania 2000 was the pinnacle in my opinion!
Unless you work for the developer you cannot prove that. Also, how can a UMD which tops out at 1.3gb hold a game bigger than a BD disc? Come on you should be smarter than that.
I wouldn't call all console to handheld franchises a downgrade, but they do lose a little something in the translation. Usually it's playtime. I have yet to see a game bigger when it goes to the PSP or the DS.
