It really feels overall different. It kind makes you want to ease up on the running and gunning and really picking and choosing your battles. MW2 can't hold a candle to this, unfortunately I'll just have to try and convince all of the idiots on friends list to understand that also.

Seriously though, everything about this Beta is great. The added player weight (A La Killzone 2) really adds a serious sense of realism to it as well. October cannot come soon enough.
High production value with a game that has a full and meaningful narrative is what makes up a core title. It has absolutely nothing to do whether it has shooting, blood or, profanity.
Ico and Shadow of the Collusus are perfect examples of this.
You brought up a great example with Metroid Prime, we can even throw Zelda in the mix. However on Nintendo's platform you can count all of the Hardcore titles on two hands, while the rest of the lineup is shovelwar...
Isn't basing it on competition. But then again out of the Big 3 they are the ONLY ones that will provide hardcore experiences for all of the core players out there!

not listening to the podcast is just as bad as quickly skimming through the title and subsequent description. If you would LISTEN to it you would realize that Nintendo was the winner at E3.
Maybe if you did more reading and listening and then come back with thorough and conclusive responses people wouldn't disagree with you so much and you would have more bubbles.

on one hand you had Sony who should proof that motion CAN be for the hardcore. Then on the other hand you have nintendo with new hardware, Zelda, and Kid Icarus making me feel like a kid again.

what's funny is that during the heavy 3D stuff. I kept looking at Evan (Wells) who sitting to my right and not once did he look "blown away." Just stared blankly at the screen, Makes me wonder what him and naughty dog have up their sleeves.
