"To be honest, I think there have been far more 10's given out in this generation of games than any other."
Honestly depends on what sites/mag's you read. Game informer gives out maybe 2-3 a year where as G4 gives probably 20 a year...
You know. I started with GOW3 and have continued with every game since that I am excited about. I had seen 0 trailers on GOW3 prior to release. I avoided article and even screen shots and I enjoyed the hell out of the game, Since then games like Batman AC, Uncharted 3 and many others have gotten 0 views from me. Some games I will watch trailers for like fighting games as to me it doesn't spoil the experience. Some games I'll watch trailers and see screens until I decide if I will buy ...
People can have valid reasons for anything. That can justify whatever they want to themselves. doesn't make anyone right or wrong. Just the way it is...
If I were to tell you and describe to you what a "Milked" franchise was would you understand it? Many people think milking is "Yearly releases" others think it's "Huge marketing budget with low game budgets" I myself like to believe the idea that "Milking" is something different...
No matter what the sales currently. Christmas will open wallets. Maybe not as much as previous years but it will. I know I spend less money then I used to. Especially on games... Then again I did buy a house this year...
Fried.
In each article your allowed so many bubbles. This is how much you can comment. I am down to one more comment in this article then I can take it to PM's if I like.
If you "Like" what someone says you bubble them green meaning you'd like to hear more of what they can say. If you think they are a troll you can bubble them down and they can get down to only one bubble per article so people can ignore them more...
However...
Truth is your allowed your opinion and most gamers on the internet are either 1 extreme or another. Your view can differ from mine and thats fine. I'm also not above warning a fellow gamer that because I liked it doesn't mean at all that they will. I am at heart a PS3 fan and have my beliefs that go with that but wont try and call you a liar because you didn't like a game... Try to imply you are a secret PS3 hater because thats far from true. I hate plenty of PS3 exclusives but lo...
I'm one of the few who played it and actually liked it. Probably because I was awed at my first "Next gen" experience. but I found a lot of the flying around and burning armies by the handfuls to be fun.
The controls are very unforgiving and can be down right frustrating even with the regular controls added in post launch.
Truth is though you can probably find the game on E bay for under 10$ and I personally like to look at all games from a $-fu...
Good point. It's still more expensive even with a price cut...
Or games. New games have the latest firmware updates on them usually.
Another of the big contributing factors to US vs EU is how much people get paid. If a Police officer in Maryland (Where I live) makes 45k a year and a cop in Manchester makes 45K a year then you balance out... Kinda works out that way... plus VAT and everything else... The price imo is fine...
I hope they take a cue from the Allstar Batman and Robin series by Frank Miller and Jim Lee. Robin was a violent badass in those comics. He freakin crushed Green Lanterns throat and Batman had to trach him to save his life.
I feel the same way. I have not even seen a single in game video for batman AC, Bioshock infinite, UC3 or a number of other games. Usually if I know I am going to buy a game no matter what I will limit my media exposure as much as possible. I didn't even see screen shots of God of War 3 prior to release. I have only seen one video in game of Saints row 3 and Twisted metal.
sometimes when I am not sure however I will watch media until I have made a choice. One example is R...
Rock on then =D. happy gaming.
You have 2 types of people it seems when defending a game or a platform.
A. People who will give it the benefit of the doubt despite a history.
B. People who will trash an item for a history.
Molyneux in this case has been making "mediocre" games from a critical standpoint since this gen began and nothing has proved he is more capable then other developers. If anything he has a long history of over promising and under delivering....
Wish you were here 4 years ago... This site was dominated with 360 fans. Jason 360, Mart, POG etc... I was down to 1 bub for most of the time being one of the 3 or so PS3 fans...
Anyway pretty irrelevant. Just funny to think about it and see that your saying the same thing PS3 fans did years ago...
Enemy AI is good. However friendly AI can be down right horrid. Try getting in a turret on a warthog and see what the driver does...
It's not people that are the problem it's the industry. I know most people on here hate jim sterling but he makes good points sometimes like here.
http://www.escapistmagazine...
Metacritic is just a place to find reviews all on one site... That in itself is not a problem. It does it for movies, books, music... Metacritic is doing nothing wrong except making it easy for...
I don't doubt your numbers are off at all Logic but if your going to make "factual" statements like "Gears 3 is the most pre ordered game in the world" provide a link from some kind of credible source. Not just "gamestop says on twitter" or something like that because... I have never seen that kind of information divulged to the opublic. Worldwide preorder numbers from every retailer?...
The gap is growing in graphics but the price is still a huge differentiator as well. Take PS3 for example. could a 300$ PC run Killzone 3 graphics? Doubt it... So what would make you think that a 4000$+ PC like the one they demo'd BF3 on for E3 would be comparable to a console... It will still be a few years before the parts needed to run a game like BF3 will be cheap enough to build a console out of for mass market appeal. i agree there is desparity between PC and Console but for 300$ it...
Srsly. Gonna buy this before they jack the price way up.
Edit: Just story mode. If you scroll down the full game is 30$. So basically a pay to play really long demo... I think.
