While Witcher 3 is an amazing game, it actually dumbed down quite a bit of its RPG elements... You can see the progression of it becoming more of just an action game if you played the entire series. The reason it feels different is because it went open world, besides that almost all the other elements are similar if not slightly streamlined.
...wtf? haha
So completely new story, new guns, new modes, new subclasses, new everything with as much content promised as the first game and its expansions.... but no its just an expansion, right? The only real difference between witcher 2 and 3 is that it went open world. Otherwise everything else was slightly dumbed down.
I honestly couldn't get into the "1st hour" beta, it bored me. The big shocking enemy reveal felt cheap, wasn't enough of a build up. Also shadow monsters just don't do anything for me... thoroughly unappealing and not slightly scary or creepy.
The thing that makes base building games a ton of fun is the longevity and the constant upgrading and improving, but also having someone or something to raid and fight. Just look at Clash of Clans. Maybe they should add an online mechanic of raiding other people settlements and have a big online dino battle system or something.
Just looks like it needs... more.
Had a blast with this game on my Switch.
Game looks fantastic visually! However, some of the animations look a little janky in some gameplay video's. That being said I'm looking forward to picking this up!
Game looks cool and caught my attention at e3, but it seems like it needs some more content. I'll probably wait for some DLC before jumping into this.
Of course it is. People expecting the game to change in a drastic manner obviously don't know what a sequel means.
Would be nice to see another full Fable game, but that seems unlikely at this point.
The only reason I don't care is because I only buy Nintendo for first party anyway... been that way since the Gamecube. Still just waiting for Xenoblade and Mario Odyssey...
Turned him into freaking Mega Man haha
Lmao I was actually just thinking the same.
