Only the devs would know why MMC is running at 1080p/60fps.
I don't know the amount of textures used, animations sequences, or anything else dealing with the development of the game.
Those were just examples I mentioned above.
All you have to know is ESRAM has a fill rate limit. That said, the devs just have to make sure they don't use up the ESRAM memory capacity too quickly(in a fraction of time) when designing their game. In other w...
Well, at least evo didn't used another copy and paste message.
Well, as soon as the x1 owner calls xb live rep and ask for a refund, MS should tell x1 owners to allow them to do a quick investigation first before refunding x1 owners their money. a few days wait that is.
Besides, Why not do it the same way windows OS does it. Once the system detect an error it should be sent to MS's data base. This way they'll have some idea on what causing the issue and they can use that info to investigate. Again, computer aren't always reli...
@Yetter
EX.
ESRAM inside the x1 has a fill rate limit. That said, Its up to the devs to use the ESRAM memory space wisely or they will run in to limitations such as frame rate, texture quality, etc.
For example:
Trials Fusion:isn't the most graphically insensitive game but PS4 runs at 1080p, Xbox One at 900p. Why? It could be that the pace/speed of the game causes the ESRAM to use use its fill rate capacity too quickly.
If MS can ban x1 owners after they conduct an investigation than I don't see why they can't do the investigation before refunding gamers their money.
Besides, it could be a system technical issue for all we know. computer system in general aren't always reliable/consistence. Sometime they perform well and sometime they don't.In other words, they aren't 100% as far as reliability.
With that being said, MS could be banning x1 owners for no r...
Its early in the morning...
meant to say the X1 ESRAM doesn't have enough memory to run unity at 1080p. The ESRAM bandwidth speed won't make any difference either.
Correction
But I'm not going to be too fussy about it if both the x1/ps4's unity runs at (900p).
I will admit it is possible to run unity at 1080p on the PS4. On the x1 it is not possibles because ESRAM inside the x1 isn't big enough.
But I'm not going to be too fussy about it if both the x1/ps4's unity runs at 1080p.
@disagrees
I was joking. on the 2nd sentence that is.
I don't know anything about MS return policy on x1 games.
My question is, can't MS do a quick investigation before refunding a game?
900p isn't as bad as everyone might think. you want 1080p than go to your TV setting and put your sharpness on max, and walla you got 1080p.
Man, some of you guys take this res sh*t so seriously.
No one gives a dam about game play anymore. shame.
The textures in unity looks really nice. I Don't really care if its 900p
I agree, they should invest more in their server infrastructure. The problems is, they don't have the money to do it. They can only do very little upgrade now. But things might change for them in the near future. Time will only tell.
Dang, I missed out on the server talk.
But anyways, this is what MS meant by their cloud tech is the future.
When the next gaming console comes out, its very likely that Sony won't have the money or the technical know how to take console gaming to another whole level.
By then, MS knowledge in cloud tech will eventually be ten folds a decade from now. Sony on the other hand won't have the money to build a sever like MS's.

PS+ no more, its PS -
That might be true...TF may not be a multiplatform game if MS throw their money in Respawn's face.
I think Respawn Entertainment didn't get the recognition they deserved because TF popularity came and went too quickly. .
That said, I don't think Respawn would make that mistake again. I could be wrong though.
Be Advised: it's time you gave Titanfall another chance
I never played TF because it was an x1 exclusive.
I really hope the next TF game is not based on parity clause.
TF is one of those game that deserves to have every inch of the PS4's computational power.
I wouldn't be surprised if all we get is boring and repetitive games from UBI after this...
Its obvious they haven't it fixed yet right???
And why haven't they release the plus version of DC.
Companies normally set up their server power in section for each game.
EDIT: Does VMWARE comes to mind?
Fantasy XV has some really amazing lighting effects, especially the cave scene.
