Because of the facts it mentions or the examples of misinforming customers?
- The crossplay situation is a legitimate concern for the gaming community
- Sony IS misleading players with their campaigns
- Exclusives on PS4 have very low sales numbers for the established install base. That is a fact.
Would love a Fallout 3 Remaster
Well you're entitled to your opinion and I respect it, even though you didn't read the article. It doesn't change the truth. Add me on Twitter and I'll DM you a copy if you don't want to give me the clicks :D That's how confident I am in my writing. Peace.
I do have a 4K TV. I reviewed Assassin's Creed Origins on it. Go check that review after reading this article :)
I'm the author of the article. I own a 4K TV and a console to use it. I still prefer my games to be more 'alive' than pretty. Sub-4K with interactivity is more attractive to a lot of people and a better experience.
I want a game like what Alone In The Dark (2008) was supposed to be.
I expect the next Zelda game to amp up interactivity on a whole new level. Destructible environments, more ways to use fire, etc. That will be an exciting time for gaming.
It has its place. It's sensational but also used to prove a point. I have no regrets with that title.
I'm not bashing HZD. Just some aspects of it that could have been improved had the devs had enough time to work on them instead of "static" beauty.
HZD is as important for gaming as BOTW. They're both some of the best gaming has to offer currently.
Did you read the piece or just the title? The title is an exaggeration of the main point. I exaggerate. It's my style of writing. I'm sure if you give it a read, you will enjoy it and understand what I mean :)
It does help and I appreciate it. But imagine if that power was put to use in making the environments more interactive instead of just visually pleasing. PSVR is interesting but I believe the tech has a long way to go in terms of price and the inevitable clunkiness of the games.
Nope. I wrote this as a way to show that a lot of dev time is used on working with 4K assets and ensuring a game can run as close to 4K as possible, instead of spending that time thinking of new ways to implement more physics-based interaction in their games. I would urge you to read the article.
The market and its consumers seem to appreciate resolution and numbers instead of how interactive a game is. I make the argument that interactivity is much more important and the i...
Zelda in Egypt is an amazing way to describe the game!
You're right and that fact is stated in the article. How many lists with ARMS, Mario Kart 8, Snake Pass, Lego City, Disgaea, etc can be made. After a while it just makes sense to make an article to excite people about new releases rather than the same old games.
Amen to that! It had cool ideas, it wasn't that bad
On one hand you are very right, it does have amazing games. On the other, third party support is always better for everyone. It satisfies all demographics, broaden the console's audience and sells more systems. When done right, it makes the developers/publishers money too.
It's 99% coming but the point is, will it be a new game or a collection of the old ones. Both possibilities sound great but I would prefer Bayonetta 3
Does the common consumer who sees the product on store shelves know what Dynamic 4K means? Can you not see the marketing trick behind it? If you have the term '4K' plastered on all advertisement material, a parent or person not interested in tech or gaming can be easily mislead into thinking the machine will play games in 4K, at all times.
It's "blast processing" all over again.
Uncharted selling 10 million is awesome. The game is ...
