I guess my previous comment didn't post. But the author should update it. It's actually NOT just the PS3. They are accepting older consoles as well, not just the PS3. Also, I know some people may disagree with it. But apple was taking other smart phones for $100 credit towards an iphone 5 or new ipads. They were also one of the top selling phones at the time. So yea Microsoft is doing this to boost sells. But I don't personally think it's just for desperation.

When a company do share repurchases( stock buy back) it could mean many things. They want the value to go up in their company, is like theEx1Le said. Another reason to me which seems more reasonable. Would be they want to buy back those shares so there are less shares to be bought. They could retire those shares or use those as re-issurance or keep them in treasury stock. Well we don't know what IP they had. The video that was shown at e3 was not a game. Black Tusk and Phil Spencer said they are working on new IP's but right now they are focused on Gears Of War. So who knows Black Tusk can expand and can hire new people to focus on another IP. I liked the first two Gears of war but after that it went to garbage. Not that I care to much about the game, I'm interested to see if Black Tusk can revive that game.
How will it not sell? If you clearly look at facts. Shooters tend to sell well on Xbox as on PS4 they sell games that aren't shooters. With PS4 you have multiple genres that would likely sell more then Titanfall. Like Infamous Second Son, The Order-1886 and so on. People are most likely going to ditch that game. As on Xbox One people will play the shit out of Titanfall.

It seems like this year, there won't be. I don't think they have announced what quantum Break will be. But I think Halo 5 is set to be 1080p 60fps. It seems like multi-platform games are having issues, but hopefully after awhile that issue will be fixed.
