why wouldn't they make their money back? its 15 games..halo generates 200-300 in its first week alone.
we don't even no how much they spend on advertising. kinect got 500 million so its not out of he realm of possible
MS could do it. they are spending 1 billion dollars on games and shenmue could eat that. Also they already invested in the series.

Online pass is the same thing as xbox one only difference is its not system wide. We don't know how much either will cost.

Ps3 was suppose to be 2 times the 360 and that wasn't the case. Ps2 was suppose to have 55 million polygons and it was more like 7-9.

Its not that simple. Cart cost more than cds. If games were to go back and use say usb sticks games would be over 100 dollars.
Yea games do require more people to make. Thats one area where things did go up. However making games did get easier when 3d was introduced.
Before everything was handmade even animations. Now you have motion capture and what not.

I think it has to do with people like phil fish not being able to pay to fix their game! If phil fish was backed by EA or Activision they would have payed the 30k or whatever it cost to fix the game so as not to stir the pot
