Not to put down the fantastic game that is MGS, but Splinter Cell looks like it has smoother annimation too. It's over a year later so it's not too surprising that it is being surpassed.

Fifa 09 is a brilliant game no matter what genre you want to label it. If a sports movie can win an Oscar then maybe it's time for sports games to get some recognition. Come on gaming sites, stop being so narrow minded.

People seem to be under the assumption that gamers who grew up on the Metroids, the Zelda's, and the Super Mario games are still Nintendo's core audience.
